Don't lie to the children. Nothing that's not leather is worth the investment. 80% of the bags mentioned in this video will lose more than half of its value as soon as it leaves the store.
Actually in a quick search in second hand stores (the realreal for example) you can see that Prada bags usually hold around 90% of their value. Not as much as Hermès and Chanel for example that hold more than 100% after a few years but still pretty good, right? It is true that leather hold its value best in most cases but Prada nylon is so traditional of the brand that also has a great resale value! If you have more questions about it I’ll be happy to answer them 😊
Leather doesn’t have to do anything with the worth. I am a guy, but my girlfriend usually explains to me about bags and the material. Designer brands don’t lose more than 40% of their value even while sold as well-used. If they are used a couple of times you can get 80-90% of the investment since some items get discontinued and people want rarity.
I was given a Prada Galleria bag in blue about 5 yrs ago and it still looks like new despite the fact that I have carried it all over the world. The separate compartiments with zippers and the fact that my MS Surface Go fits exactly in it makes it a great travel handbag. 💙🩵
