Teachers: life is a competition Also teachers: EvEryOnE Is EqUaL Edit: Hi I wrote this two years ago when I was a dumb middle schooler. I am still getting replies to this 😅 I understand that what I said was not the smartest and I have changed my opinions, but I still share a lot of the same beliefs on the school system. Everyone comes from their own back round and has to fight their way in life, but in the end we are all human and we should all have equal rights and opportunities. (Which will sadly never happen) The school system is still very flawed in my eyes and has a bad way of distributing ideals. I believe that is why when I was younger I shared that opinion because that is how school expressed it. I hope the systems improve for future generations because the way things are right now are crude. Edit 2: 5 years later… I somewhat agree with what past me has said haha. Though I think the way I worded things were a bit messy, for me, seeing my childhood perspective is very realistic. I am graduated now. I barely graduated high school due to lack of motivation and working multiple jobs during my last 2 years of school. (Burn out). I also took a program where I went to college early for my last 2 years. Safe to say I had a lot going on. What I will say to those struggling. The system is flawed, you can try to change it but it won’t happen in a day. So don’t cry too hard, do the best you can. Stay knowledgeable, life IS a competition. School will not teach you everything, but you have the power to learn your own skills for your life. College is far better compared to lower educations. You actually learn valuable skills you can use in your life. Learn your balance. You can criticize a system but still play the game. You can hate school but still get your degrees. You can disagree with teachers but still learn things from them too. Stay woke, but also be logical. If you have the chance to learn in school, take what you can from it. If you see a different path for yourself take that path. Schools not for everybody. Just stay knowledgeable and so what’s best for you. You got this.
I love the part of school where I said “It’s learning time!” And I instead got Useless information I won’t use in the real world Heavily sleep deprived Bullied Not getting enough time to actually enjoy myself Stressing constantly Getting judged based off of letters Happy to be sick Mental health decline Somehow learning better from games/movies “Tests” just being based of from memory School shootings Actually feeling anxious to go to school Hard expectations for me Just feeling demotivated/stupid Introverted Anxiety and other major health problems But honestly even after all of this I still keep a smile on my
I totally get the demotivation part. After studying very hard in 12th grade, I got the second worst marks in the class, while the mfing student who was the biggest failure in school got the best marks because he has a fathee who owned 4 companies and some of his family works in the ministry of education. Mind you, this student was never good at anything, he came to my school when we were in 7th grade, and he could barely count to 10 and didn't know how to read or write. Also, no, he didn't have any mental illnesses, he was just careless about primary school his entire life and just kept on going out with his friends who were exactly like him. And even in this school, he still did the same exact thing, and got himself kicked out of class 90% of the time in school. Literally and absolutely did nothing, but the teachers were afraid of his father as HE was the one who was funding the school and 80% of their salary is just from his father, so they could never make him fail. Not only that, but when we were in 9th grade, our best 2 students got out of school and had to do the school year again because he changed their marks with his and his friends', the same thing he did to me in 12th. Literally the worst and least educated students got the highest marks, while me and my friend, who were the best in class, got the least 2. What's more surprising? I was the best student in math in the whole history of my school, which expanded for over 50 years, and I got the lowest mark in math while he got the highest. After that, I lost all motivation to study in my stupid education system, and idc if people think I'm a failure, especially when my school was a special school that only tests students based on how they think, not memorize
That hit different, but in my life not for the better. I’ve been trying to explain that to people but I can never find the right words and you did for me thanks.
All i write on my reflection is literally just "i was happy" "i felt okay" even tho i felt nothing because its just as normal and boring as taking a poo :/
And then teachers saying "stop sleeping in my class" when they were the ones who gave us a lot of homework to do and we spent all night doing that homework
Not everybody wants to be a writer, not everybody wants to be a mathematician, not everybody wants to be a scientist - Everyone has their passions and school is restricting them.
When children become adults then they can decide for themselves what they are free to pursue. Wth? A 6 year old is not sitting in the classroom wanting to be a brain surgeon or engineer. The kid is still learning how to wipe his own bum.
I remember seeing a councilor and them telling me what courses I needed to graduate and what courses would be good for college. This usually happens around grade 9.
Ikr I wanted to choose science as I was fond of animals but the school recommended my parents I go on O.Maths(optional maths) and now I am here in 8th grade solving equations
Trust me, someone who was actually mature enough to run a school (or to do anything actually) would listen to the flaws and actually try to fix them instead of just raging when they're told they're doing something wrong In other words, not even your principal know how to learn, which clearly reflects the true nature of the current school system
Yeah I just care about the grades because no one is going to get angry if I’m getting good grades even if I forget all of it the next day. Society doesn’t care about if your learning they only care about if someone gets a good grade
school is the main reason why I've got really bad anger issues and addictions... It's unreal how much stress im under all the time, and school being one of the main problems.
One of the core reasons I now have an unexplained and incurable resentment to my family. And I go on and began calling my race dehumanizing things because surface value makes them more plastic and fake on the inside. And I learned that I live with liars and imposters. What's worse is that after graduation, the dopamine's gone, and you're left with constant nagging from your family who wants you to get a job, so they can use you as a source of income. And then you look at the reports and the market, learning that this year's job hunt is much worse since pandemic. Competition is hell, but I rather spend time finding a job worth my time and value, and make it meaningful than doing it for a quick buck. Bonus points for breaking away from being Catholic since the whole "sheep mentality" is now found everywhere in society. Doesn't matter if you're successful or religious. If you don't wake up to the harsh and bitter reality, then you are a slave to society and yourself.
The funny things about these schools is that they don’t do anything when the kids get bullied but when a student is wearing a hoodie and is not wearing a uniform. Teachers take it personal.
School is the reason why I have so many friends who feel depressed and suicidal. School is why I have a mental breakdown every few weeks and why I feel like curling up in a ball and dying in a ditch. Schools is why my brother feels like dogshit all the the time and feels anxiety when getting bad grades and getting yelled at by anyone, but when you tell them about all these problems they say stuff like “but you do so well in school” like doing well I’m school is just gonna fix all of my problems
That’s so true in my school, they only care about there reviews, that’s why “the main bully” stayed at my school for 2 years.. they bullied lots of people physically and the teachers just reward him and do nothing
When I was in kindergarten I was full of creativity now..... I cant even think of anything creative If I wanted to it would take hours for me to think creatively
Honestly, I can agree with the lack of autonomy and room for passion so much. I have a passion for writing, specifically storytelling. Last year at my school, I feel like the writing curriculum was more free and creative. (it was a social studies/writing hybrid). We got to write stories based off of what we studied from that unit (ex. native tribes, colonial days, etc), and we learned crucial writing skills too. The only downside is that we had to take a lot of notes, but I remembered most of it. This year, the curriculum is more restricted. We have to follow a set of instructions on what to write about and how to write it, compared to last year where it was free and creative. The only thing we do is write short essays, but we learn writing skills as well. I really want to improve my story writing skills, so I feel like this system isn’t that flexible to every student. We all learn about the same thing even if we’re not that passionate about it. If you even made it this far, thanks for reading my ted-talk, lol!
@@wisteriaxx oh that's cool, sadly i also have to learn french even tho im a native Romanian and speak english very well(ironicaly,i learned all the english i know on the internet) Ive also wrote an ebook, and if You want,i can tell you about the story of it(since ive been thinking about this storyline for like 4 years) Also i hope your book goes viral and you won't struggle with your french!
Cat From Hell Same situation with spanish, we weren’t taught the alphabet for the first year which was pretty much necessary in a extra language so by next year (i pretty much failed it due to bad teaching and backwards standards along with things changing just about every day) we were expected to know the basics yet we didn’t
For my school we had something called passion projects, where students would make a project out of their passion, and the student with the best project would get award that would have your name on it, but you don’t actually get to keep the award. It just sits in its case in a room where no one can go. I knew this from experience 💀💀💀
I love how when students talk to their classmates at school the teachers tell them to shut up but when the the students have to do teamwork and they don’t cooperate well the teachers complain. Like wth
PRO’s Gaming My schools filled with kids like that, it’s kinda sad cause my friend looks super tough and all and she makes friends with those kind of people. And according to them I apparently look like an “innocent nice girl” so none of them will talk to me. And because I hang out with her group of friends no one else seems to talk to me. Also when I was around 10-12 a lot of kids had social media and my parents wouldn’t let me get it, so no one talked to me even more cause they probably think I come from a “strict” family and shit and I’m all “innocent”. It’s so annoying and honestly really sad I just want a group of people I can hang around. Shit I didn’t even get a RU-vid account until I was 14 and IM 15 RIGHT NOW!!! My dad said RU-vid was a business and stuff and it makes me so angry. I just wish I disobeyed everything and stuff cause now I regret everything I did as a kid. I just want to be an extrovert :(
@Kacper Knopp exactly, it's the tests that ruin school. I wouldn't hate history or geography classes if I knew I didn't have to memorize everything, word by word, to answer questions that test my memory, and only my memory, and decides my future. Fredrick J. Kelly, the inventor of standardized testing, said "these tests are too crude to be used, and should be abandoned." yet they sill use them like it's no big deal. If someone told me "hey man the operating system of that phone is crude, and you probably shouldn't use it" would I buy and use that phone? If someone told me "hey that car's engine is a primitive thing that won't last you more than a year" would I use that car and rely on it for the next 10 or so years?
Teacher: we are so behind in our class! Also teacher: spends 20+ minutes talking about how disrespectful we are and her life stories instead of teaching us
My teacher in 4t grade (she still works at the school and hasn't been fired) -picked favorites -bullied my friend for learning in a different way -let other kids bully him -made me go to the principals office after I forgot my homework the day after my HOUSE almost burned down (we live on the same street, so she definitely knew) -embarrassed me in front of the entire class -bullied the autistic kid (who, btw, is a genius) and made him take below-grade math even though he can divide six digit numbers in his head -forced our class to stay behind instead of going on a field trip because we missed half a week of school
@dumbass with a hat I had a substitute teacher in 9th grade who kept shouting at me even if the whole class was a circus then one of my classmates did something and challenged her for some decision that the school was about to take and she took him to the principal lmao
As an American, my high school junior year English teacher might be the only teacher I can remember who was able to lecture effectively. He allowed us to control most of the conversation, as well as introduce our own topics and perspectives. And I still remember all of the fun tangents we sometimes explored. I remember having to discuss the question of whether money could buy happiness, and I brought up that the question has a flaw, in that it could be asking whether exchanging money for items brings happiness, or whether just having money in itself brings happiness. (Everybody likes large sums of money in their bank accounts, but when they buy items that might make them happy, that sum diminishes by some amount.)
I like my tennis coach. He teaches AP Human Geography. I brought up a school flaw (in relevance to what we were talking about) and he actually explained to me why that is. Things that have been the same way for so long are hard to change. I like Human Geography. It makes sense and explains why things happen and we get to talk about it. He talks TO us, not AT us.
School completely changed me. I used to be this energized girl who is always excited to go to school and learn new things and get straight A's but now, I am the complete opposite of that. I am always stressed and whenever the weekend comes I never even think of it as a weekend for rest. I procrastinate a lot and my parents and my anxiety doesn't really help much. I really hope one day we can CHOOSE what subjects we actually want to learn. I literally just study and stress out over useless information that I will forget as soon as I finish writing it down on an exam paper. Everyday the same thing over and over again. Wake up, get ready, go to school, get ordered around, become a robot, take in useless information that goes in and then out, go home and stress out. 2 year update: same shit
It's my first year in Junior High School and I can relate. In Elementary School I used to be ace at every subject but now the only thing I'm ace at is Math.
I view colleges much more forgiving in that aspect; you can choose much more compared to lower levels of academics. I constructed my own schedule, and while I do have to take certain classes to be eligible to transfer to the University of Florida, I CHOSE what to be major in and I mostly had the CHOICE to what classes I had to take to get to my goal. Now, don't get it twisted, the majority of the classes themselves are so debilitatingly boring and lecture-dominated, but at least I CHOSE which boring classes to take. As for the Common Core system, it will likely not change for a long while, since the people who create it are politicians who usually never teach a day in their lives.
Dont get me wrong, some teachers are a godsend of people, but most are just assholes, then when you succeed, they helped in your success? When have you congratulated me on anything?
You can't change it. That's how our world worked nowadays. Those multi billionaire who have everything they need doesn't want us to have critical thinking. They want us to be an obedient workers who doesn't sit around and think that the system is suck.
They cant really do anything besides send you there they cant just out of the blue stop sending you there without a reason the government requires it but i do agree defending the system is just shitty for parents to do when we all know its shit especially my dad who was an engineer lets just say that he’s balance is $200.00 from wasting he’s money
@@Unsubscribetomychannel-w7j I'm not saying that they shouldn't send me to school, I'm talking about how whenever I try to explain why it's hard for me they just start calling me lazy and how other students can have better grades so therefore I am the problem
@@justaserbiandoomer497 its really at this point exisiting is the problem and i only said the first part because someone in the comments thought that parents owned the school for god sakes so i thought it was you sorry

Why Is kpop still a thing I told my teacher 20 years ago that “if that bell doesn’t release me then why does it tell me I need to be here?” Then I left.
Ah yes...*those* teachers I really hate them since they made the class (and me) late for the next lesson and get lectured and everyone got a detention and the teacher who held us back didn't get in trouble but instead we (the class) got more in trouble for being...well lets just say the teachers called the class "filled with morons that can never achieve anything"
This is so nicely said. You should make one about bullying. It’s not as simple as teachers make it out to be. Kids aren’t going to tell the teacher immediately. They might be afraid to because the bully may be threatening them if they do. I WISH it was as simple as teachers make it out to be. But the “Hey, that really hurt me inside.” phrase is what the BULLY WANTS. They want a reaction out of it. And the “Oh, I’m sorry. Can we be friends?” is so unrealistic I don’t even know where to start. People aren’t going to trust the bully immediately after they apologize. (If they even apologize.) You can forgive, but you don’t have to trust the person right after.
Our school sends us to the Vice Principal if they catch us having long nails and no handkerchief for more than 3 times in 3 years. Btw I’m 14, you can totally imagine how embarrassing and unnecessary all this is.
THere was only one class in all the years of school I actually remember anything from. It was 8th-grade History. Technically it was "World History" but it ended up settling on mostly Medieval Europe, but that Teacher was good. She used props, told stories, had us act out stuff. For our final exam, she had us draw out a manor i.e. the town around a Knight's Castle. It was a test of how much we'd actually learned about Medieval European society. What's the castle's defenses look like? Is there a moat? Why not? What would be in the town? People need to eat, so *bam* a bakery because oh, that's right, wheat was the primary food crop so the main staple would've been bread etc..... Oh, yeah, I also learned that Knight's weren't mighty battlefield warriors. They were Mayors with some Armor and a sword over their fireplace they busted out occasionally.
I had the same math teacher in 1st and 3rd year in Dutch high school (middelbare school) and at the end of the first year we were 2 paragraphs behind schedule. This was because he cared more for the students than for the education system itself! Whenever someone didn't understand something, he repeated it in special for that person! Truly a fabulous teacher who I will never forget! Hope the school system itself sees some changes soon, because this is not going well. In the Netherlands, at my school (Ichthus College Veenendaal), there is almost no room for passion, other than the music classes which not everybody wants to do...
@@thebighurt2495 I had several teachers like that in 11th grade and a few this year but a lot of teachers make my blood boil and my rage rise to immmese proportions.
I showed this to my grandma, who is a retired school teacher. She actually agreed with the video and said that school has a lot of problems they could fix. Edit: Grandma were famous!!!
What angers me is that if a kid is depressed or is having issues, the school tries to be involved to help the kid, but if the kid says his depression is coming from the anxiety and stress he gets from school, they will stop caring. Children don't kill themselves for no reason.
fr someone took their life at my school a couple months ago. mental illness is not a joke. school made my mental illnesses so much worse, hell- i'd even say it started them-- that should be enough detail to show that this needs to be changed.
As a kid who is a victim to depression and is having suicidal thoughts I can approve this as true as schools poke their noses into things which aren’t even any of their business like what’s happening in the house etc..(Ik there can be some situations for school to need to know what is happening at home) and school helps make the stress and pressure put on a child even larger, they try to help but don’t rlly help in the greatest way.I’m sorry if none of this made sense idk how to explain it. Good mental health is more important than good grades. Also I have Asian parents which makes things worse :/
@@MoondropStarzzz school doesn't teach you about money because if everyone was rich, then everyone would be poor. School doesn't set you up for success, it sets you up for employment so you can get a job. The biggest company owners all have done worse in school than their employees because school never taught them how to get rich off of a business. But they hire people who can work their factories, and market their stock. But the way schools educates the modern generation sets them up for failure. They refuse to adapt to a changing environment and think that since children aren't doing so well in school, they should give more homework, make the dress code more strict, make harder tests. Then they wonder why children have their mental issues and act like there is no possible way that kid killed himself because school was too much for him.
The thing i hate the most is that schools dont accept difference whatsoever. They expect every kid to be completely normal with nothing that makes them unique and if they do then they are forced to become like everyone else. having asperger syndrome, i always thought it was dumb that the only thing they did to help kids like us was to throw them into a learning interrupting class for 30 minutes and teach them to be like everyone else.
I agree with what you said. Maybe say autistic though. Asperger is assigned to Autistic people with "higher functioning" and was invented by a guy who colluded with the Nazi regime to help them study the disabled.
My math and reading teacher do this, they’ll mark a question wrong say we can retake but the thing with my reading teacher we have to say why is the actual answer right instead of the one we chose without giving us the actual answer meaning you can still get it wrong and have to ask someone else, my math teacher just tells us the exact same thing over again. I like my social studies teacher because he’s real with us, we do discuss the meaning of quotes or random events but they’re more recent than most and we talk about how we’re going to 8th grade, are we really ready. He can’t do much but I feel like if they let him he’ll actually prepare us for life. Health teacher straight up tell us random things we need to know, not necessarily teach us but we did have typing for her class for a bit
In my school, if we get something wrong we must go back and see what we've done wrong, if you don't know what you did wrong, the teacher will help you.
today my teacher shamed me in front of my entire class for 20 minutes because my email was not working. (edit) this isnt fully true, im sorry. John 3:16, John 5:24. Repent. Amen
Ikr they accuse everything for the reason that children resets themselves but not actually fix the problem that makes them do that all they do is make excuses
The worst part of this for me is when I try to talk to anyone about how stressful high school is, my parents always just say "it cant be that bad" or "stop whining" or "study more"
Ughh "study more" fk hate that people say stuff like that. I can't I dont have time when I have other classes I also need sleep. Its not really my fault but they always blame me? Wtf I'm a child bruh.
Ok my school did this wacky hair day thing, so I ruffled my hair and put hairspray on it to keep it in place. This one dude made fun of it all day, but when the teacher was near, he was like "Hey you should keep your hair up like that everyday" and I said "What, so you can make fun of me more?" and the teacher started yelling at me like "If you want to talk to him that way, you can march your butt out of my room!" (but the teacher didn't make me exit, she was just mad when I was sticking up for myself) After the teacher wasn't around, the dude started making fun of me again. Long story short: Teachers do all these stop bullying campaigns, but when someone is getting bullied, the teachers do nothing and the person getting bullied isn't allowed to stand up for themselves.
This sounds like the "zero tolerance" policies I've heard about. Basically if you are involved with anything physical at all, no matter if you're the attacker or the attacked, you will get a consequence. It incentivizes kids to fight back because they'll be suspended anyway.
This really does suck, but what you have here is a shitty teacher. A really shitty teacher... And not all teachers are shitty, you see. I don't think we should blame the teachers. We should blame the admins, and the system they are holding together.
@@jphone6606 It is very true that fighting back is unreasonably punished, which makes no sense. I never understood why arguing is looked down on by adults either. Am I supposed to just admit to the world around me that I am wrong when I am actually not?
They are frustrated ,ever observed they don't like their job? They were forced to follow the perfect path and now they are ruined ,so they urge you to do the same. They are DEMONS
You forgot that school makes children hate learning, so when children are out of school they don’t bother to go to a museum or a historical landmark because that is considered as learning.
once my science teacher sent me to the principals' office for sneezing right after she said to be quiet, my principal saw how much BS it was and sent me back to the class.
I knew someone who was bullied sometimes and one time he would report the bullying to the teachers and the teacher would say to the bully to stop bullying. The next day it would get even worse and other peers would call him a snitch like wth. Sometimes the teacher doesn't really help in some situations
At my school there is this group of kids that have been really bad and have been sent to the office so many times that the school literally gave up on trying to fix those kids. The district pretty much only cares about attendance.
And you know you’ve _really_ fucked up when a kid is actually hoping to get diagnosed with depression so that they have a clinically/professionally given label for the shit they feel and can have it taken seriously If you can’t tell, the kid is me Though it’s more in direction towards my parents making the effect of the fucked up school system worse Edit: autocorrect likes ducks a lot
Students can memorize and understand when been thought in lessons tho. That one time during "history" remedial lesson, i was able to fully memorize and understand to answer the questions the proper way. Meaning, if that question is questioned in that particular format, you have to answer in that format and you need to be 2 sided in the source thats has been given(that being said, i need to actually like have info by doing research. Like seriously wtf is lesson if at the end of the day im just gonna learn myself by doing a god damn research on the internet. The textbook is thick but doesn't contain alot of info tbh). Huge waste of my time ( boi ive still got more things to rant about)
About the “lack of autonomy” part, I wholeheartedly agree. I’ve thought about the future and panicked when I realized I had no idea how to do things for myself. I was always told to do things by adults and never helped so that I could plan things out myself. I’ve now realized that if an adult doesn’t tell me how to do something I just have no idea how to get started doing things by myself, which is pretty scary.
@HuntDemonicamy mom’s also been a bit overprotective. I don’t get to walk to places myself without some kind of adult with me, I’ve just been so used to adults telling me what exactly to do that’s it’s hard to actually start something for myself. I’ve lost any kind of motivation for things that an adult didn’t tell me to do. I just wish I was given at least a bit more freedom when I was younger, in school and at home, to teach me how to be more independent and plan things for myself.
I'm an adult, supposed to get a job, finally become independent from my family and so on. I don't know what to look for, I don't know what I like, and I have to apply conscious effort just to give a shit about all this. I've got a professional degree and the only thing it changed is that people tell me "you know how to do X, you have education". I really don't. Neither school, nor university gave anything good to me or anybody I know.
i have the same case mate I'm 18 now got my driver's license. And when I drive I'm scared to do like all of my confidence dissappear & still in the learning stage for like 5 months I still feel like a coward. When I look back and analyze when I was 13 I was scared of a volley ball, I tend to move with various possibilities every step, don't want to fail in anything, confident during tests but not in doing physical work, does assignments on time. Analyzing these I concluded I got no self esteem or self confidence. I'm only okay when some adult is around me otherwise nope. So this is a root problem and I blame school and a restrictive household . Neither of them help to improve and my biggest challenge is overcoming stage fear. Idk how I'm gonna survive
bro i literally started crying because i didn't know how complicated being a surgeon, a scientist or a game developer would be, it's kinda creepy that whatever the school is showing me is nothing of my interest
My high school: You guys should definitely join a club or play in a sport, getting involved in your community is important! Also my high school: *gives hours worth of homework and says we should study every night* Me: _There’s no winning in this life_
Yes. I just calculated how much time we have for other activities. I didn't use time for travel. Day have 24 hours. They say that we need to learn at home as much as we learn at school which means 14 hours in total. We have 10 hours left. As we need sleep 8 hours at the end we have only 2 hours of our free time. That's horrible.
@@dinoaurus1 yes but I use it to nap. My mum and I always take a nap since I was first grade of primary school. I also have hypothyroidism which make me fell always tired and without energy.
My parents don’t really care about school these days, all they care about is good grades to get a good job. They don’t care how it works they just care what I get.
Ik my older brother got a bad grade and my parents were disappointed ik it’s not much but it still affects the child’s mind and confidence and it’s a sign of corruption in humanity the smallest thing can have the biggest affect
But kidding aside, regardless of how flawed our education system is, there's always that one teacher who sees our potential and encourages us to become the person we want in life.
i'm home schooled but if i went to school and i beat a bully and got in trouble, i would say the state i live in has a stand your ground law giving me the legal right to defend my person and property with lethal force. just be glad i didn't kill him.
I got suspended for accidentally pushing a girl in a game in kindergarten In grade two a girl hits me with a zipper teacher:just ignore it Grade 5:boy gets kicked by a grade 6 multiple times Teacher:ok I will talk about it
I'd like to see a follow-up video to this one proposing some solutions. I'm a teacher and just spent 3 weeks teaching in a school where students have an enormous amount of freedom, with great flexibility to spend time on what they would like. The result was a catastrophic amount of wasted time with students constantly on their laptops and not doing anything productive, really unmotivated students who lacked the capacity to sit through any amount of direct teaching, and were about 5-6 years behind in their learning.
well as a student i can say maybe a phew things my words are not great maybe you could try to do something interesting like asking questions mostly because they will get more interested if someone actually cares about what they think but is also possible that they never even want to learn this in the first place, idk what your class is but even if you are a good teacher and you have a good student that good student just might not be interested or is just bored because they have to sit on there asses for 5+ hours its kinda like the classic students being treated like lazy but you can try actually connecting with your students and maybe understanding that not everyone will care about it
*Can you imagine how you would feel if you were told exactly what to do for every minute of your life?* I am in high school. I don't need to imagine that.

We do have free thinking questions in our school, but they are trash af. They goes _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ^a short story Based on the short story you get 4 questions kinda free thinking but not really, each has its own rule Q1. The answer must be in 1 sentence or a paragraph, you must put suitable paragraph or word from the story or what you think. Q2. 2 paragraph 1st : following Q1 type. 2nd : you must write stuffs that matches with the story made from the book Q3. 3 paragraph 1st : Q1 type 2nd : Q2 type 3rd : Find the differences between the book and the story(the story Will be always given similourly to the book so u can find difference) Q4. 4paragraph 1st : Q1 type 2nd : Q2 type 3rd : Q3 type 4th : write the ending. So its a C.Q (Creative question) but the scariest thing about this is that, most teachers are scared by this C.Q. the good thing is Im glad this is being taken down in my country
@@uae2992 what a sad thing. This is absolutely not free thinking. On free thinking you don't need to write or explain to anybody, you just think for yourself and decide to do all by yourself, without interferences or judgements. The all conception of schools are humiliating to human beings. Free souls suffer a lot in these mouldy prisons.
Me: goes to school for straight 7 hours... and comes home completely exhausted and tired... Me again: trying to sleep... sleeps instantly after laying down on bed... **5mins passed from the time I slept** My mom: enters my room my mom again: what the hell are you doing ? Huh ? Get the hell out of ur bed and pick up ur uniform, keep it in the washing machine, then go eat ur lunch, then study and do ur HW... Me: does everything mom said while crying... Mom: doesn’t care that I am crying... Me: *starts studying* continuously studies for 3 hours and get up to go to sleep again... My mom: you’ve just been studying from like 10 mins and now you’re going where ? Me: *dies inside*
This is why I told my girlfriend that my “booksmarts” mean nothing. I just retain information better and faster than most of the people in my classes and I’m very good at following directions. That doesn’t make me smart. I’ve been trying to get myself out of this thought process that the only way I’ll feel happy is if I have a clear direction. Because that’s all school has done for me.
Technically If you are a "good" student and also a gamer, you like games that controll you path at any thing and everything But if not, you like open World games, the more open, the more you will Enjoy it
This is whit me too i can memorize some things easily and some things hard. My classmates always tell me that im smart.... Im fucking not I dont understand too all the fucking formulas. Im not a genius bcuz i can speak german better than them
I learned about that the brain will try to remove bad memory or memories that make you burden, so that's why we can't remember 90% we learned from school
Basically, school teaches you things you will never use to “prepare” you and still gives homework after 8 hours of school cause they forgot that you had a life, doesn’t cater go kids having different ways of learning and diversity in learning. :) Edit: ty for all the likes guys
@MARS 2019 my junior high would punish us for not doing homework if we didn't fill in a question or our names weren't exactly on the line and they would send us to the library called 9th hour where you would just sit in a room for about an hour just sitting there while the teachers called you lazy and that it was our fault. Detention was sitting in a computer lab where we had to sit there with their assignments for about 2 hours and we couldn't do our homework we had to do their assignments and by the time it was over the sun was already setting and it was nearly dinner time
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die". BUT, mercy said "I dont want to give them what they deserve. I don't want them to be cut off from Me. I love them despite all they have done/will do against Me. I want to give My children another chance. I want them to come home and live in My love again". And love said "Jesus, God's Son, came down as a Man, our representative, suffering every temptation, pain and struggle we have ever faced, yet without sin. He took all our sins (past/present/ even future) to the cross and then crucified EVERY ONE on our behalf. Justice was paid on the cross so that we can be free from Hell's punishment, experience Gods mercy of forgiveness of sin and live in His love. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (turn away from our sin and pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to obey His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, or struggling or doubtful, simply be honest and tell Him that. He is not intimidated by ANY sin or struggle you are facing. ANY. He hears and will answer. If we pray for Him to come in, regardless of the condition, then He will. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. If you have any questions let me know X
