@@samuelmartin8650 I mean I'm just joking, but I remember that Steve Vai injured his hand some time ago and did a song with just one, pretty cool check it out
You can do the same with bass! But also…… Bass is an octave down so it’s just cooler, like who would you be afraid of, someone with a high voice or someone with a low voice 😂
If only the tuning system wasn’t weird and wonky and all over the place… 4ths with one major 3rd? What the hell is that? Octave mandolins, on the other hand… Now there’s a proper instrument
Excuse me but the drums are way better ,we give rhythm to all ur songs and we can change the genre whenever we want. Also, a melody can't be there by itself, while rhythm can
Although I play the guitar, I think that piano is still better. 1. Easier to learn and understand music theory. (For me) 2. You can play chords, melodies, bass at the same time. But there is no percussion if we will compare guitar to it. 3. It's used almost everywhere in music. 4. If you make music on a computer, it's good when you can play synthesizer. It means you can use wide range of sounds. Electric Guitar can't do this... 5. There is no guitar when you use midi.
For 5, yeah you can't use midi guitar. But when it comes to making your own songs and if you want an instrument to sound more naturally, you'll have to pick and record your guitar. Because when it comes to midi piano, you can play every single instrument on it, but it will still have that "digitally timber" and basically it will not sound that natural. That's all I had to say. Piano is easier, but this doesn't mean that every single song that you can learn it will be easy on it. Until this day, my dad literally told me that I should've learned piano instead of guitar. Because guitar is way harder. And he thinks that all I learned on guitar it could've been 10x times more impressive on piano. Just because he loves piano. But it's just his personal preference. I will learn piano someday because I want to learn how to play on more instruments. After I will master the guitar
Now lemme make an argument for piano. First, rebuttals: 1,2. Piano 3. More notes played in the chord, and it's spread out completely differently. It's also rolled rather than played all at once. Unfair comparison. 3 (again). Keyboardists can choose whatever timbre they desire 4. Fair enough 3 (again again). lol 4 (again). Another valid point. There are many high-quality portable electric keyboards, but those require charging/batteries and they're quite difficult to play while standing. 5. Interesting reason lmfao 6. Only for the most dire of situations, since I'd prefer not to throw away a thousand dollars Now some good points of piano: 1. Arpeggios 2. Range 3. Difficulty of fast notes 4. Long glissando 5. More possible notes 6. Range 7. Linear format 8. Dynamic range (pianos can be a million times louder than a guitar and just as quiet) 9. Each hand can be completely independent and still be just as easy 10. One key = one note (rather than 6 strings and a variety of different fingerings) 11. Sustain pedal Some downsides: 1. No vibrato, bends, or slides 2. Repeated notes are difficult, especially at a fast tempo 3. Cost for high-quality pianos are very high 4. No fingered harmonics (only overtones obv)
