Nope, the ones you noticed during the day are 100% serpents that spawned during a storm and you just haven’t noticed them back then :) unlike the ones at night, they do not despawn, so you met one of these :) As for the scrap - yeah, but I hate how often does it find ancient trees instead - the number pops up far away from the tree, but in the end it’s the tree most of the time :) I have a naked to silver challenge video with stag breaker on my channel, but honestly it was pretty painful to do XD

That’s because they spawned during the rain beforehand and you haven’t noticed them back then :) unlike night variations, they do not despawn

@@AimingForGaming Who knows... Maybe it's a bug, if the Wiki and Devs has scripted to spawn sea serpents on night and rain or different criteria

@@softstyles13damn, you’re coming in hot for someone who didn’t even check the wiki. He’s correct tho, sea serpents only spawn in rainstorms or at night. The ones that spawn at night despawn in the morning, but the ones that spawn in storms stay alive and move around in the ocean, where they move between zones if they want, they’re up forever until they’re killed. You must’ve spawned one in a zone during a storm, but didn’t see it, so it swam around the ocean until you ran into it again. This is why the best method for hunting sea serpents is to wait for a storm and then sail through as many ocean grids as possible to trigger the spawn chance. Then circle back and hunt down any that have spawned since they won’t despawn until they’re killed.

@@bjornekloo well I never got a copper pick I had a flint one But any metal I got I thought was to be put into other weapons My friend had a better axe so I just let her do most of the better wood mining

They do spawn during daytime but only during rains. These do not despawn, so you might notice them later on

You could easily miss the moment he spawned earlier, and he was waiting for you all this time :)
