I think nasus was just being a gigachad because realistically you didn't have that much damage... Especially in the one where he didnt die with only 2 items. You also had a lot of beefy melee units for him to steal a lot of health from, while they were just feeding him mana to do it more often
Yeah, you generally want scaling items on Shadow Isles because the comp is good at stalling, especially when paired with Targons. Ironically, Mort should have gone really greedy with his Gwen itemization, it would have served him better.
Actually , Taric 1 with the spark die so early , so nasus recover his own AP reduction from spark from 80 to 160 and when he cast he got more bonus so he can't die from that time , but it's so different when taric 2*
If malz has a finisher animation where he just immediately ults the other chibi and makes that sound where he ults would be sick and funny as hell. Zarghhhhh, then the cam zooms out in stages, starting up close until you see them in the sunset, implying the ult never ends lol
I ran this same comp today, except I didn't get Targon 4. I also had Shen in over Zed. Gwen would hit 1.4 attack speed with a Zeke's and a Titan's Resolve. But the shields kept her alive through three Lux ults, and she kept healing pretty well. I unfortunately forgot to check shielding
If anyone was wondering what song Mort was referring to when he mentioned the world song with Scarra and being drawn by the same people who did Avatar, I believe he was referring to either Ignite, Takeover, or Burn it All down, as those would be the songs with the closest animation styles to Avatar
Just tried this comp got 2 shadow isles emblem and 2 Targon Emblems, put them on Shen and Ksante with AA/JG/HOJ on Gwen, RG/SS on Khalistan and Challenger Emblem on Senna most fun comp I’ve played. Early game I struggled tho
I think the biggest reason for that Nasus staying alive so long, was that your only damage dealer (Gwen) kept getting knocked up. Idk exactly by what, jarvan maybe?
I had 6 shadow Isles and lost to a guy who was going 4 shadow Isles. We had almost the exact same items (I had jeweled lotus) I had a spat on Shen and Yasuo and I had Senna. He had Viego. I didn't win a single time I matched with him, i was MIND BLOWN
taric died -> no spark like someone else mentioned. plus SI just wants items that scale with time. the nasus had shuriman ascension, shurima heal, a 10k+ dmg hextech azir, and every one of your carries hitting it = all the heals on him. more importantly though, you slammed your gwen straight into his nasus round after round instead of taking the completely open right lane. seemed like a free entrance to the backline to me.
This is how Society works. This Taric 1 was loyal to you since the very first Round, but its still Senna 2* MVP, who like appeared in the last 2 Fights....... Nice Video though

I remember Mort bragging how the Set 9 mechanic was amazing and it has shown to be really lackluster lol. There are only a couple anyone gravitates towards because the rest are so boring.
I full disagree, I’m in master tier too. Each portal has unique strategies that you want to use. Even if you go on meta tft you can see that most portals have under an 8% pick rate. I will agree people tend to have favorites. Overall I like the portal feature. It adds so many viable playable strategies.
