There is definitely something called being photogenic : some look way better in real life than in pictures. The opposite is also true. So , not being that successful on dating apps does not say it all.

I don't think dating apps are the best way to gauge your attractiveness because there are like 4 guys to every girl on an app. Even if you are moderately decent looking like a 6 you are going to struggle with that type of ratio. And then if you're ethnic you basically lose a point or two of smv on top of that. So don't rely on dating apps to measure your attractiveness. Only way to know is if it was a 1 to 1 ratio of girls being judged by your own ethnicity.

That means your profile is (maybe) seen by 3 or 4 women a week if you're not paying for all the boost features. I think it’s common for guys to think they’re more attractive than they are. Especially very overweight people. You might feel good, and dress nice, but walking around with a huge stomach isn’t going to get them a date. I think I land in the category of of being more attractive than I think. I can take a selfie or video of myself and come out ugly, but seeing myself in a reflection in public and I’m very satisfied. And there’s days I’d feel like crap and think I look like crap, but at the same time random girls will smile and say hello

I once read a study that found that most people find themselves less attractive than they really are. Unfortunately, that was an old study and that can and will of course have changed in our narcissistic society. I would be interested in current data on this.

Attractivness is a very vast thing. People should stop listening to such videos because it can cause your self-ssteem to be low. I was dating a guy who was extremely attractive in looks, but i found other guys much more attractive than him, n they didn't even have the same or better looks than him. What made those other guys appear much more attractive to me was that they had good energy, personality n so on. My boyfriend eventually didn't appear so attractive due to his way of life, methods, personality, etc. Looks may attract you but it can't keep you. A person's character can either make or break his/her appearance. In videos like this, one should always include the power of having a good character when it comes to being attractive.
