Custom reports in GA4 aren't as difficult as you might think. Here are 6 practical tips for customizing your GA4 standard reports and making them custom reports.

This is great and easy to follow and understand. One question on the filter you have an include option where I don't. Is there another way to filter the channels?

Hello there! When you set up your filter, do you see a "Match Type" option? After you select the dimension you're filtering on (like Session default channel group), you should be able to choose your match type to various options like exactly matches, contains, does not contain, etc, etc.

Great video. Trying to add transactions to Item brand report but showing that dimensions and metrics are not compatible. Please help!

Data compatibility is one of those very frustrating parts about GA4. Some metrics and dimensions simply don't "work" together based on how the data is collected / stored. You've probably seen this, but here's a support article on the topic. support.google.com/analytics/answer/11608978?hl=en If you haven't done it yet, you might consider using Explorations to try and select your own set of dimensions and metrics from scratch. I'd start with the bare minimum of what you want to see (to make sure it works) and then slowly add a single metric or dimension at a time until it is no longer compatible. Wish I had a more satisfying response here. Best wishes!

My customized report selection panel doesn't have the blue "Apply" button at the lower right. I can't close the panel and so I can't access the share (download to pdf) icon. 😔 Please help.

Hello there. I'd suspect you don't have the proper access level in order to customize reports. If you have 'Analyst' or 'Viewer' level of access, you won't be able to make custom reports. I'd check with the Admin of the account to see if you can get upgraded access. Good luck!

@@rooted-digital Hi, thanks for your help. There is no more content drilldown in ga4. I need to know which paid keyword takes my visitors to, for example the contact page. And from which country. Appreciate your help. Thanks.
