Bacon here! Thanks for having me (and all of us) Cbell :) Us 1s mains did not get any love in the first round for any ground mechs 😢and the others quickly identified I got no air mechs, so props to them. However, I think the comments here definitely benefited from the knowledge that the secret player was Diamond/a freestyler. Going in dark made it much harder, and seeing things on the other side definitely puts into perspective how hard these Odd Man Out challenges are. Great vid as always! Also, can't believe I was clowned on for being a Dom main lolol
The twitching back and forth in that setup was a dead giveaway. The other players wouldn't have seen this perspective(player cam) though, so I can see how they missed it.
I figured Mushroom the whole time. Main reason, his setups and just general control and movement seemed the most iffy. TBF to the other players, they don't get to see from mushrooms pov so it was probably harder for them to spot it then a viewer. Also most of the ssl's made at least one good recovery after scuffing something and I think that's a big indicator.
yeah pepperonis recoveries were why I was sure he was one of the ssl's his general control and movement looked rly clean I'm surprised he got voted out, I thought it was mushroom but had sus on sausage too I was sure on the other three
I knew he was the diamond due to his avatar border. All the SSLs either had basic or super high level avatar borders whereas the Diamond had the highest one he could get. Was a dead giveaway for me.
always love seeing the “odd man out” videos from you. original RL content is hard to come by, especially content that hasn’t been robbed by other creators
To be fair, the only guy that looked like what I'd imagine an SSL would look like, was the White Reapers guy. Not saying these guys are bad, I just imagine SSLs to be perfect so seeing them flop the 1 chance given makes it hard to see how good they are. I don't think even a coach would pick out the diamond with these attemps.
Lol I literally guessed correctly. My thinking was that there were a lot of mechanics that a freestyler would be good at while an SSL might mess up some. SSLs are their rank because of more than just mechanics. Obviously their mechanics are generally really good, but their game sense is also really good and it is being an all round good player that makes an SSL.
I knew when he was doing stalls, high ranked players don’t stall. Stalls are a freestyle move and since you said he was a freestyler, I knew right away
On the contestant's choice there were some good ones from Who's Who that I was hoping they'd pick, though bounce dribbling wasn't bad. I was thinking either the chaining speedflips, showing off your movement around the map, or defending against someone else's attack (though that'd be a bit complicated without a single arbiter like Leth was). As an SSL trying to rat out a diamond with good aerial mechanics, I would definitely be thinking in terms of defense and general speed.
I bet he rarely even gets the chance to set up a shot in ranked. Your mechanics are worthless in game without the gamesense needed to create and use space.
LES GOOOOO I KNEW IT WAS MRUSHROOM IM TOO GOOD AT THIS. Also I ruled out onion from the beginning just because I felt like a diamond freestyler would have a bigger ego than what he had cuz he literally said "my shots arent too good" or smth like that and I just felt like a diamond freestyler would have a bigger ego.
I got two things for you CBell: first, I love you videos and they always make me smile, keep it up. Second, i loved pineapples camera settings can you make a video or even just reply on this comment saying most of his camera settings, ty CBell, have a good one and keep up the great work.
After every round you should say if they found the odd man out. Now they could have gotten him without even knowing it. You know who it is so you'll continue the video, but for the viewers it's kinda boring if he's announced in the end like "Jup i'm it". Thats like an anti climax. Imo i think if you do it this way, it gives the players but the viewers as wel a little more suspense and reason to continue watching. Just a suggestion though. Love the vids!
I was on to sausage after the ground-air dribble because I occasionally mess up and get ahead of the ball like he did, the reveal threw me off so much lmao
They shoulda paid attention to things other than mechanics I knew he was the diamond due to his avatar border. All the SSLs either had basic or super high level avatar borders whereas the Diamond had the highest one he could get. Was a dead giveaway for me.
I don't like to be that one guy but Pineapple seemed to be the only one with mechanics that are on par with or better than my mechanics and I'm GC3. I understand that mechanics aren't everything and overall they seemed pretty decent, but the odds of getting 5 SSLs with this little mechanics (mechanical capability that is, understanding of when to use mechanics wasn't really shown in this video) are just too low to actually seem true. I get that they were nervous and I think Sausage might be German and thefore he might've been lagging (though he seemed like one of the most solid players there) but honestly this altogether just didn't give me the ''best odd man out video ever'' kinda idea. Not blaming the SSLs for anything, they seemed like amazing people and I'd definitely like to party up with any one of them. Just saying that this seemed like click bait
Didn't have any laggs, but only having literally 1 try is what makes it hard. I thought it would be fairly easy too at first :D , and im pretty sure some people werent SSL when tracking them after the game but overall it was a fun experience and thats what matters the most :D
@@lance259 yeah it definitely looked like you guys had a fun time! And yea I can imagine having a single try at something makes it hard, it's just that some of those single attempts made seemed so lackluster that it didn't seem like they were much above GC3 or even 2. I don't wanna point fingers but those two attempts on the bounce dribble by pepperoni made me question why I hadn't clicked off the video yet...
