Wait, so you buy a flat, rent it out and you'll get all the running costs back?! So if the one who rents the flat pays you like 800 € a month, you'll keep the whole stack?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx 2 года назад
Kind of. If you buy Real Estate in Germany as an investment and rent it out, most of the costs you have will be tax deductible (e.g. interest you pay to the bank, depreciation, management costs, etc).

private health insurance premiums are also tax deductible, right?

Do I have to declare (fictional) expenses under Arbeitnehmer-Pauschbetrag? Or do I simply submit a tax return and this lump sum is automatically deducted?

Thanks so much for such useful tips. What about employee contribution to health insurance premium? Is that not tax deductible too?

Hello, can I use Arbeitnehmer-Pauschbetrag if I have Kleinunternehmer? Thank you.

I think there is big mistake in your table! You put the penalty interest amount (240€) on the same row as other tax returns, for example home office (600€). This is confusing because the 240€ is the real money you get from finanzamt, but you get back "the tax payed on 600€" (which is about 50€) not whole the 600 €! This is also true for other columns! So I think your video is miss-leading! Am I wrong?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx Год назад
The table shows the tax-deductible amount so viewers know what number to put into their tax declaration. If we wanted to show the "real money you get from Finanzamt" as you put it, we would have to show 42 different tables for the 42 different percentages people have in income tax.

I was wondering if a person with a retirement salary would be taxed if they moved to germany? I mean, their homecountry is providing them with this salary, germany wouldn't tax it, right?

Here you calculated 10km just one way. Wouldn’t that be 20km per day to and from work?
@PerFinEx
@PerFinEx Год назад
Unfortunately, Finanzamt allows to deduct only one way per workday from your taxes.
