( True points ) I've 2018(my friends) & 2019(self) i20 asta petrol model having following problems: - No mileage ( 12-14km/liter average if on AC then 7-10km/liter) if you drive car in lower speed or gear. - No pick up (Problem while overtaking, Speed breaker) - Breaking system problems ( you're not confident about break if drive on higher speed) Good point is: - Very rich look. :) - Comfortable (for driving & family sefty) - full feature loaded I brought this car because I've seen so many positive points but I realized after buying car... I also had discussion with Hyundai service center this problems... I'm not recommend for buying this car..go for Baleno, Polo or tigor but not swift, scross, Desire.

Ur all points r genuine. I'm also using i20, magna variant last 1.5 years and it lacks ABS system and auto locking system. My cousin has Santro and his car gets automatically locked when we start it. :)
Heavy weight of car may add to a bit less mileage than competitor baleno, but I feel it may also lead to better stability while driving at high speed at highways. Pls put some light to this.

Probably that's why high end speed cars are made lighter, with components such as carbon fibre or high tensile steel. heavy weigh doesn't necessary mean better stability. Kabhi suna hai nano ya kwid high speed mai hawa ki karan unstable hoke accident ho gayi? They deliberately want to make cars lighter, for power to weight ration or for engine, which wouldn't have to do extra work on moving car. Spoilers and wings are used to keep lighter speed cars stable.

Bhai you are wrong on all the parts. let me correct you one by one. 1. ABS: ABS is not standard in all the variants thats in all Hyundai hatchback cars, nothing new. 2. Average meter in MID: No need for this as this is never accurate in low end cars (except audi segment). You can ask any service adviser even in maruti, he will also say this. The best way to check is fuel tank full (auto cut)> turn the trip meter on> run the car for as many kms you like (i personally go till car is in reserve) > fill the tank again (auto cut) > see the liters of petrol in the meter in petrol pump > divide by kms in trip meter. 3. Weight: Weight is required for the smooth handling of this car. If weight is reduced you will never get the comfortable drive experience like you are getting now. It will feel like a small car. Weight is related to dynamics of the car. take a drive test of new dezire / baleno and i20, you will feel the difference in smoothness. 4. Auto door lock: This function is in MID of the car (speed sensing door lock). May be your car is 2016 model. in 2017 model it is there and car doors are locked as soon as car is reached at 16 km/L speed. 5. Shock Sensors: Is it really required ??? 6. Break Bite: check the Break of i10 grand (2015/2016) it is very powerful and car will stop instantly. this is dangerous car is stop instantly (called khadi break), chances of accident is more some one will bump into your car from behind. To over come this its is moderated in i20. Check 2017 i10 grand break, its power is also reduced as compared to its ancestors.
I have Elite i20 magna 2016 which does not have Height adjustment for driver's seat and tilt staring which is available in TATA nano also. you are absolutely right about ABS and weight . My car don't have ABS .

I own Grand i10 and agree about not having ABS , auto door lock and no DTE, but Break is pretty good. In fact friends who have driven my car feel break bite is way hard! I love the breaks - it gives a lot of confidence during highway driving

Hyundai comfort m maruti se kafi aage h, but heavy weight hone ki vaje se pickup nahi h, and comfortable to drive hone ki vaje se steering kafi light weight h and suspension soft h so Not good at handling but extremely good at comfort. Depends on what you want, sporty ride --> Swift, Comfortable Ride --> i20, looks --> i20, premiumness --> i20 but Pickup and sporty handling ---> Swift is much better
I do agree with the MID point of yours. It looks too premium, as if it’s lifted from cars that are 2-3 segments above, but doesn’t offer distance to empty and stuff. But regarding the braking issue, I think you can upgrade your tires. I too own an elite i20 2016 but have never faced an issue with braking. It’s equipped with ABS. A tire upgrade might help. Hello @ Gagan Choudhary sir, I have a new facelift i20 purchased in 2019 and driven almost 3000 km. while driving in the rain both the headlamp assembly and fog lamp assembly get filled with moisture but my old Chevrolet beat's headlamp assembly and fog lamp assembly do not get moisture while driving in rain. Is it a manufacturing defect from Hyundai? Will Hyundai replace all the assembly under warranty, please let me know. Thank you, sir.

gagan bhai i bought elite i 20 magna. what u told is true and engine is little slag in pickup. i got a problem of rats bitting my cables while parking at my home. i used all ways and means they reduced but not completely, please post video to keep rats at bay from the car
Exactly the points which I dislike about Hyundai elite i20. I own elite i20 sportz petrol and observed the same things that you mentioned in this video. One more point from my side is absence of rear wiper in era, magna and sportz variant. It really troubles the driver in rain.

Another problem is fog deposite inside of your projector head lamp. Most of i20 elite car has this problem. Even you keep on light to warm up the lamp so the fog will disappear, in some cars still fog present. If you are facing this type of problem then take the video yaa photo of fog deposite and claim for warranty at your nearest hyundai service center.
bhai gaadi ke brakes mai bhi problem hai, brake tight ho jaata hai yeh mujhe mainly turn pe slow speed mai laga . Ya uneven surface par. Also reverse gear lagane mai dikkat hai.

Hi Gagan, have been following all your videos on especially elite i20. Am planning to buy a sports variant. Since my driving is low i opted a petrol one. Fuel efficiency is not a problem due to limited driving, but is it that worse in mileage? Just concerned about maintenance cost as well. Please advise
i have i20asta 1.2l petrol using it for 3yrs...i admit all the points are true...heavy weight of the car makes NVH low and built quality makes the car heavy ,1.2l engine is under power for such a great car...Every car is good depends on your need.Baleno is great car for mileage, low maintainance(in traffic one cycle wala fall on my friends Baleno and there was a dent on the door). I20 for built quality(shut the door hard you will know it), NVH,noise insulation,ride quality(if you dont care mileage or drive less like on weekend).

Bro quality is the only thing hyundai never mess with. Look at very small parts in the car that aren't even necessary and doesn't need to be made with care. But hyundai design those things like an artist. Hyundai never care for mileage as maruti is reducing the weight with every new launch. I can tell that because i owned grand i10 and now i have baleno and ciaz.

Weight is plus factor while driving on indian condition highway road. Brake is nevertheless weak, instead wheel doesn't lock while panic braking too (abs version). If paying high cost 7-10 lacs then don't beg for its mileage(petrol version). Yes agree with lack of shock sensors and speed sensing doors lock.
I have been driving since 20 years and have drove almost most of the cars , Hyundai nd Honda are the only car makers which give quality in the car . I am owing i20 nd its been 2 years still i am loving every day drive of it.
Once try. Drive to a constant speed and then apply front brakes. Again do the same and then apply the rear brakes. And note: measure the time with the help of a stopwatch.

Only genuine problem i could see is the speed sensing door lock system. I feel the other problems are stupid and rubbish. Also the braking power issue of the car is not as big as is discussed. I also shuffle between driving 3-4 cars and i have never been let down by the braking system of the car. Regards Proud owner of i20 since 2015

Breaking is poor due to ABS is working early while taking emergency brakes, you can feel the difference if you try emergency brakes in ecosport and other cars. Once you agree with this please make a video about elite i20 abs early working
