Hey I'm moving to Colorado from Jersey channel islands uk with my wife next year. You guys seem to know your stuff. We are late 30s like nightlife bars etc and scenery no children don't really want a massive commute need to be within distance of a finance centre preferably. We are from a tiny island so nothing too hectic where would you suggest we live?
First off, we appreciate you watching the channel! That's awesome to hear you're headed out this way. Two places come to mind. Lone Tree would be one of them. It houses the huge Charles Schwab campus and has plenty of restaurants and bars in the Park Meadows area. It's a more low-key version of downtown. If you're wanting to live closer to downtown, you may want to check out the Highlands Area. It's just a few minutes outside of downtown Denver, has a pretty laid back vibe, and plenty of great restaurants. Killer. views of downtown too. Hope this helps! @@fraserdejavoo Ask as many questions as you want! No worries at all, that's what we're here for. There are a lot of variables when it comes down to purchasing a house, but a $200k downpayment is going to help bring that payment down quite a bit. I can give you an example, but keep in mind there are a lot of other factors that go into it. If you were to purchase a $600,000 home and put $200,000 down, you'd be looking at a payment of approximately $2,930 per month. That would include the principal, interest, taxes, and insurance at an interest rate of 3.5%. There are some other factors that are to be included like credit, debt to income ratios, etc..
