Too many crashes on pc so cant get into the flow i want to enjoy but i dread whenever i cross 15 min mark thinking a crash must be right around the corner and just as i am in the middle of a boss fight locked i get a black screen and all my immersion goes out the window
Given the length it is a one and done game for the 10% or less that finish it, but for the majority of players it is a "tried and didn't finish game." That said, they can potentially fix some of the issues with patches and they absolutely can make a much better gaming experience the next time. Since they've already sold millions of copies, there will absolutely be a sequel. The biggest issue with progression is that there are way too many bottleneck bosses where you can get stuck for hours or more and each requires adjusting your play style in addition to learning their three phases and then getting a "lucky" run to get to the next area where you can actually level up and have some choices on the next quest and boss to engage. They should have made some of the easier bosses the bottlenecks and the harder ones as optionals. The current flow is just bad game design.
Bro the double jump by using heavy attack is genius along with the extra long ghost shift jump!! Ive watched a ton of vids and no one has came up with either!
They make apps that let you set up & see doctors over skype or facetime. Costs like $50 for the appointment. 1. Use that & say that you've been having a stomach bug. 2. Tell them that you called into work the past 3 days & that you'll likely call in on Monday as well. 3. Then tell them they're requiring you to get a doctor's note, the doctor will write your note for all the days you missed & the days you tell him you also need without question. They don't care if you're faking or not, you already paid. 4. They then either send you the doctor's note through email or a messaging system within the app, screenshot that, send it to your boss. 5. Boom, go back to gaming. We know a thing or two, because we've seen a thing or two.
@str8boogerflikn102 that's just cap bro I finished chapter two only to realize that I a person who explores literally everything missed an entire 2 sections granted one was a side quest type thing but for that specific side quest I missed a great deal of area that was very fun to play idk why you hating
Some more tips from someone that killed every boss in the game. 1. Expore everything there is a lot of hidden paths and reward in every map. 2. Learn to use the varied combos(light attack combo and use an heavy attack) in smash and thurst stance. These are parries that block dmg and gives you more dmg in smash stance and buff for 20 sec that takes away the use of stamina in thurst stance. 3. All bosses and mobs in this game can be knock down if hit in the head. On bigger target use Pillar stance focus attack to deal dmg in the head and knock them down for even more dmg. 4. The heavy attack in smash stance at 4 focus is the best for dmg but also because you are immune to dmg after he goes in the air. 5. Jump attack light can stop smaller target charge attack and light in to heavy will make smaller airborn targets fall down. Also really like the game its is own thing. You can be really aggresive and just have fun with the bosses. Really hope they make another one :D
Pillar Stance is utterly useless, there are rarely groups of enemies, it's always 1 on 1. Thrust stance is useless, he jumps back and will always miss. He jumps back in the Smash Stance combo too for no reason, makes me miss almost every time. Your "block" costs magic and has a cooldown. Why is that good game design? None of your points are valid, sorry kiddo.
@@St4rTr3v1Ut10n He only said to use pillar to hit heads on some enemies for knockdowns. Missing on smash and thrust heavies is wild to me, you must be doing something wrong. Those skills (Resolute Strike and Tactical Retreat) are extremely powerful, I think you gotta actually learn how to use them. And they made your block a spell with a CD because they didn't want blocking to be the main way players avoided/mitigated dmg? Pretty sure they've even talked about that when asked why there's no true parry (or block) button/ability. Jump attacks and combos are very strong, too. You don't even know what you're talking about, maybe stop calling people "kiddo" and listening and you might actually learn how to play
@@St4rTr3v1Ut10n Do you use pillar and heavy with 3-4 focus bars or from 0 :) also never said in my guide "their" easy to hit you still have to time it :) you can also follow up from any of light heavy combos with heavy again to go back in again, but will only do more dmg(smash) or give stamina buff(thurst) if you glow red after you do the heavy as the mob hit you (parry) :) sorry they did't help you, but skill in video game is something i can't do anything with :)
A beautifully crafted game, meticulously designed, and immensely enjoyable. I'm absolutely loving it and am impressed by how well-executed it is, with great care and attention to detail.
When fighting: Instead of spamming light attack. Try this: light attack-hold spin weapon( this will fill focus)-heavy attack (provided u have upgraded this talent) Jump-light attack ( wukong will ricochet back)-heavy attack. Spin yo weapon against projectiles, instead of dodging them.
Pro tip for those trying to get through levels faster while on foot: If you hold sprint and press jump, you'll do a forward-propelling lunge. Hold sprint the entire time, lunge, wait a few frames after landing until you see your icons become active and lunge again. This veritable "bunny hop" is literally faster than just sprinting and helps you get around just a tad bit faster. When going up hills or stairs, you can just hold sprint and mash jump, no need to time anything, and that's even faster than flat ground.
Man... the double jump and horizontal dash was a nice surprise. Thanks. By the way, love this game, especially cause it feels like a constant boss rush
Your armor can be upgraded if you do a special side quest once you leave the back of the Turtle in Chapter 3. Takes you to a sort of "NPC haven" and there's a blacksmith there who can upgrade it all if you have the mats.
You want to have a much "MUCH" easier time to kill bosses in Black Myth? After you get the Self buff spell "chap 3 melon field quest line" respec and put all your spark to level up that spell. In boss fight pop that spell then use the full charge heavy attack, guarantee you will take out at least 40% of the boss HP bar with 1 hit. I literally took out 80% of the final boss/ Erlang Shen secret boss HP bar with the same trick.
This is an awesome video with alot of tips I can't wait to try out. I think this year has been a strong year for new developers and I can't wait to see what comes out next.
Almost EVERY video I have seen on Wukong is passed Chapter 1. I have only 8 hours into the game, due to work and life. Someone should make an in depth video on JUST chapter 1 and the best way to navigate the controls and more important, how to use the spark properly. I had to respec my character maybe 12 times. I am stuck on the 2 phase serpent guy right now. I can almost get him, but I use all my gourds too fast.
You get him yet? I dunked on the Whiteclad Noble yesterday morning after I learned how to apply the resolute strike skill. Still took a lot of tries, though. Man, that was tough. It was like fighting the Hell House in FF7 Remake, except this time I was able to win eventually. Still can't wrap my head around the battle system in that game, something isn't clicking for me.
for me it took this boss to learn the actual game. to learn it's not about killing him with light attacks, those are just to fill up my heavies. To learn when is the timing to dodge (later than I thought) and that you have to learn his moveset. also make sure you killed every other boss in the entire chapter 1 before going to him. Did you already kll that big baby thing? Because he gives you a very important skill! also: I would just use my sparks for the weapon as to get more focus points, because as I said: it's about the heavy attacks hitting!
I just found out about the double jump but I had no idea you could air dash. I don't know why I had such low expectations for this game, but it's really blown me away. Cheers for the tips! :D
Seriously though. I watch a tonne of trick videos. But WHENEVER you do one I'm guaranteed to get awesome tricks and secrets I didn't know about. Your videos are consistently eye openers. Thanks pal
I loved Elden Ring and it's DLC, But it's great to see amazing Soulslike games come out with their own take on the genre. Lies of P and Black Myth Wukong being the best at their own take and I enjoy them more.
I got you fam: Every boss can be beaten if you press the Attack button a bunch of times when they're not moving, and dodge when they go to attack. I really don't know how else to play this game, because that's all they give you 😂
@@St4rTr3v1Ut10n You're trying so hard with your terrible rage bait I almost feel sorry for you, but I don't and neither does anyone else. At least do this in the comments of a game that actually deservers it
So a double jump that doesn't get you much higher, and an air dash that costs MP that you can only use once in a while. Wow. Why is this a good game, exactly?
@@humonchronos9048 my fault you have to beat the game AND THEN beat him in ng+, atm i was lvl 150 n it was fairly easy to insta kill him since i knew his fight but after i beat him the “craft curios” came up again. Beat it again n will check tmwr if another can be added but prob not
@@St4rTr3v1Ut10n we get it you like stellar blade. no one played this game because it came out on PS5, the no-game-station. also, we all saw the cutscenes, it's k trash made for coomers, even if the gameplay was fun
@@humonchronos9048 Lmao "even if the gameplay was fun," dude you haven't a clue and are ignorant as hell. Every move of your basic combo has an additional heavy variant, it's not the same 3 attacks that end your combo, 1 of which is only half-useful like in Wukong. Why does he jump back when using a heavy attack mid-combo? It's terrible design and makes you miss half the time. I can give you autistic-level reasons why Wukong sucks.
Great tips, espescially double jump. Love the challenge of the game making me eager to go back level up and dying to try kill bosses, currently at the sand boss
All other tips and tricks videos are jokes compared to yours! I never even knew I could chain an aerial heavy with an aerial light, let alone use them for a double jump! I can now reach those peksy rat archers!
Wow.. The shield smash.. I did not know!!! Kudos! Also the double jump trick is awesome trick! I found it by accident :D Defo GoW with some Dark Souls inspiration, but not a "Souls" type of game ;)
Never played Eldenring because im to bad. Got Wukong when i ordered my new Graka and here i am in chapter 5 now. Amazing Game. Longer ghost shift jump was new to me. Thank you.
Been loving BMW myself, but anyone who has found a new appreciation for this game, and hasn't already, play Lies of P. I think that's another game that wasn't played enough and will give you the same enjoyment as this one.
I absolutely love Wukong. It is the breath of fresh air that makes me remember why i fell in love with games in the first place. I don't personally consider it a Souls like, it just seems more like a really well made unique action game. For me, Lies of P is the best Souls like. I love it even more than any Fromsoft game, except maybe tied with Bloodborne, though Lies is more responsive than BB.
I didn’t even want this game… sure I was tempted at 1st, but then was put off. I received it as a present, and boy was I grateful! It’s a fantastic game that’s been challenging, and has given me that same rush when I beat a boss on DS 1, 2, and 3. It’s definitely harder than God of War, but doesn’t appear to be like DS. It’s its own thing, which I really like. Ppl don’t like the closed off pathways, and I totally get that (it frustrates me a bit too) - but I’m here for the combat, and boy is it amazing!
Another underused tip can be to immediately cancel the 4th light attack combo string with a dodge roll and into the light combo finisher with the next subsequent light attack when you’ve awakened the ability to not have your light attacks interrupted by dodges. The 4th combo string doesn’t stagger and usually leaves you vulnerable; getting the light attack finisher out for stagger and damage a second sooner can help in a lot of scenarios.
I love this game, although it is definitely one you have to start from zero to appreciate. I tried it at my friends house, and he had me fighting the yellow wind sage. No fighting game experience whatsoever. I was frustrated, but bought the game and love it. I'm learning very quickly.
Dang these are great tips and I'm sad I didn't already know all of them up to my spot in the game. Wukong is addicting, challenging and fun. I liked the idea of Elden Ring but always felt lost on where to go or what to do or struggled too much just getting to a boss etc. I kinda like how this one is more linear while still having some room to explore. Most fun I've had in in a single player game since the last God of War.
These are actually GREAT tips, unlike the 99% dumb and clickbait youtubers covering the game... Useless haste from the same ones who made this game a political arena. You sir did a fantastic job with this short video, am gonna go double jump and airdash thanks to you !
It's not a souls game. So how can it be better or even compared? This is an action rpg lite similar to DMC or Bayonetta. It's a boss rush game, not a souls like.
@vindelqen bonfire mechanic in souls is not just a check point but something you can heal your hp/mana, fast travel, and reset npc. This you won't find in game like God of War or DmC
I don't find the combat satisfying, it needs weight. And I barely get to use the abilities because of mana and cooldowns Everything besides the combat is amazing though
Nice video, new to the channel but loved how you gave details short sweet, video not too long & no begging for likes & follows!! You get a like & sub just for that! Also LOVE this game so far, I’ve been waiting 3 years so like a lil kid at christmas
This game is going to be another game like Skyrim for me i think I'm going to keep playing even after I've got the platinum, its just that good I've made it through all the chapter's and beat the final boss I'm currently on my second play through and I'm still learning new things.
i just wish it had dificulty modes as without them people ike myself that are 68 or dissabled will ether have a very, very hard time or just be unable to play it. but its a stella game but as is only the young and top players are going to enjoy it.
I'm loving the game. I am really taking my time though. I try not to let myself get too frustrated when i get my ass handed to me by a boss. So if I gotta call it quits for a little while or until the next day, I do. Sometimes just that break to let my subconscious work out a solution to a fight is all i need. Or in the case of Yellow Wind Guai, a youtube video hahaha.
I said the same for Lies of P. I hate the original DS games and didn't really care for Elden that much. P and Wukong are their own games in my opinion, and it's a good thing.
