I'm 38 but every word you said resonates with me. My ex of 3 years (5 years younger, extremely financially successful, looked like a runway model, but treated me very poorly and then left our shared home in a horrible way). Seeing my dating apps tell me that I need to widen my already very minimal dealbreakers because I've run out of men who fit my criteria in a 50mi radius - yes I X'd out lots of men, but it was because I could imagine myself in a physical situation with them. Even the matches I do have aren't anyone I would usually find attractive, but they fall just over that threshold where personality could make up for the rest of the attraction. However even getting them to do a simple facetime to assess whether it makes sense to meet is resulting in so many stalled out conversations. This gave me the push I needed to do more hobbies and go out to more events and mingle in the world. Chance encounters, people we regularly see at some place or event , and introductions from others are how people met for decades until apps took over in 2012. It feels terrifying to throw yourself into the unknown, but pursuing what you love puts you in the path of likeminded people, and if you're out and looking good but more importantly feeling good, there are plenty of single men around you who may make a move.

I really love how at 51 you seem very energetic and optimistic. Not jaded about love and relationships. Sometimes it can seem like the longer you're single, you kind of resign yourself to that's how it will always be. But that isn't true. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when you said we deserve and are worthy of having our dream. Especially when we are working on and loving ourselves. I'm seeing this a year after you posted but I'm so grateful to see this vid today. I really needed it. Thank you.

I am 42 and I have truly given up. I don't know any happy couple. I thought I knew one, but they are breaking up. I never even see anyone I like anymore, all men seem to be too young, too old, too fat, too effeminate, too this, too that. It's like a soap bubble popped and there is just nothing.

Totally agree with the 40+, it's like a switch is flicked and you know more about yourself let alone a lot of other thing. I'm 49 so like you I think, after being 40 for 9 years what I'm fter. Thanks for this and Lots of Love and Light from Me Down Under here in Australia ❤🙌

I'm in my early 50s. single for 2 decades. do i believe i can meet a good husband/partner at this age? no. the good ones are taken and what is left is not something you one. even if you find one, they have financial luggage, emotional luggage and kids.

I never liked young fruits, they taste sour and are too hard. Thats why me as a 28 year old subhuman love mature women. 40plus is the way to go. But now where Im nearly 30 I like the woman to be at least 45-48.

38 and I’m not independent depending on family becuase of my disability. My last relationship was when I was 15. Which doesn’t count . It only last a week. My family knows about me and they care . If I find someone that would care just like my family then. I’ve had friends that would pick me up from home but got tired . I’ve had zero best friends . I have friends just Becuase it’s within my brothers and sisters . And friends from school . But no best friends that will turn into a relationship Becuase of my disability. Majority I stay home with my mom. And you say nothing is wrong with me. Smh 🤦

You forgot to to add "young", because a man who's successful is at his prime shouldn't be shy on dismissing the old women just for their age. Because a women at her 20's will absolutely dismiss a guy who's shorter, weeker, broke, without mercy. Yeah I said it, come at me

A successful man looking for a family doesn't want an older woman. Why would he? A man's job is to be successful and a provider, kind, intelligence, and sincere, and hopefully faithful and dedicated to his wife and children and their success and happiness.
