As a postpartum mom of 2, I’m having to be a lot more intentional with my wardrobe too. I’ve been loving to go minimalist with declutterring from my previous life seasons and thrifting my new pieces!
Little project for the future: open up closet wall further so that clothes are more accessible I know someone who did this and was so overjoyed to be able to more easily access clothing and she was then able to put two folding panel doors on either side to make it aesthetic too Highly recommend
ya we considered that BUT after removing the barn door I realized that wall has a vent so i think thats why it was built that way! Not sure there's a way around it...
I'm a cool Autumn. My grandmother paid for my colour analysis for my 16th birthday 😂 As funny as it was, I still remember the tips I was given on that day.
Loved the video! Have you considered under bed storage? I bought the IKEA BRIMNES bed years ago as an alternative to buying a bed AND a dresser. TONS of storage. It is the best alternative if you can't fit a dresser in your bedroom. Affordable as well.
Small closet mom here as well! We have great hanging space, but almost no drawer space, so we also have to hang as many items as possible to keep things organized. At this point in my life I have resorted to having a catch basket for not-clean-but-not-dirty clothes, because we have a little storage that realistically, stuff isn't always getting put away between wears. But this basket at least helps keep things contained and I try to clean it out over the weekend so it doesn't pile up like crazy.
This came at the best time! Now that the snow is almost all melted in Montreal and the sun is out, I am so excited to do a spring cleaning of my wardrobe! God bless you and your family!
YAY for no more snow! haha my son woke up last week and was crying because there was snow he can't wait for summer. Praying that was the last of it, happy Spring cleaning!
Honestly I can relate to him 😂 I am soooo excited to put away all of our family of 4’s snow pants, winter jackets, hats, gloves, scarfs, boots, etc haha 😅 It’ll make my entrance way cleaner and look less cluttered 🙌🏼 I hope your newly organized closet brings you more peace of mind because it was very satisfying as a subscriber to watch and get tips along the way!
We’re in our starter home and the only bedroom closet that’s a decent size is just like yours! We opened up the wall to get full access to the closet and it’s incredible the difference it made! Highly recommend if you can.
I'm kind of newly a mom (my daughter is 20 month old). Since covid, I wear uniforms at work (medical clinic) and I continued since it takes less mental energy in the morning. On weekends, I mostly wear confortable clothes too. But it's so hard to clean my closet and to get rid all of my blazers, more dressy pants that I used to wear for work, etc. 🤷🏻♀️
