My best friend acts like a photographer (and not chad), he positions me, chooses cool locations, leans down, and gets all artsy, and then sends me 132 photos of me looking like a raccoon going through the garbage. 😆 It’s okay, he’s passionate about it and knows he’s not allowed to post anything anywhere.

That’s perfect. My boyfriend makes me cry all the time with this. He’s always the chad. It’s something with the camera because out of photographing he’s super helpful.

THIS HELPS SO MUCH THANK YOU. I always wondered why my gf doesnt want me to take pics of her despite me thinking the pics are good. Now i know its because im just being a typical dude LOL. My bros wouldnt care bout confidence, we would analyze together and keep trying till we settle on a good one. So it never even crossed my mind to direct with confidence to invoke the confidence in my subject. So simple but it makes sense! 🤯
I'll tell you the problem i have, I just think my gf looks flawlessly beautiful in every picture I take of her and I just don't understand what I do wrong and where I can improve. I really want to take good pictures of her so thank you for this david:))))
My husband is a Chad, like… an actual Chad and it breaks my heart that I have to ask for pictures with our daughter 💔 and when he finally agrees (after sighing and being clearly annoyed) he’ll take a horrible, blurry picture. Meanwhile I’ve taken a thousand beautiful pictures of him with our daughter. It makes me super sad.
Wowww! I wish I had a friend like David ❤ I'm always the one acting as a photographer friend. But I too want good pictures too. But my friends sometimes doesn't take my pics as I wanted too. David is such a great friend ❤🥲
Yeah I’m learning to take portraits of my friends but idk how to make them less awkward in front of the camera. And when theyr getting more awkward, I’m getting more awkward 😂

I was high key feeling bad for not being able to take good photos of my family members while they take amazing pictures of me .I was feeling really guilty and trying my best to learn about angles and etc. I'm so gald that i came across this video. Really great tips for posing and helping a partner to help take great photos or look their best in a photo! ...I don't llke tilt up shots as someone plus sized. It never fails that the light bounces off of my chest to make the area under my neck look like a quadruple chin. And looking downwards doubles that... It's so unflattering.

Thank you so much. I always love taking photo but my best friend has like extremely high standard (I always feel like wining an award if she decided to post a picture that I took lol). One time when we hang out she told me that she want the flower on the ground in the picture but not her leg (I ended up lying on the grass so that the camera lens is under the flower but the picture is only from her waist up). The angle was nice but she complained that I didn’t fix the posing for her so she looked weird
anytime I ask someone to take a photo of me they shorten and can't figure out the subtle angle adjustment needed. it is a pet peev now because my co-workers take pictures of the kids this way too. do they not see?
I'm impressed by how careful you are with your choice of words. Something like "her favorite angle or not" instead of "the correct angle" implies that you understand that even such a thing is subjective to the person.
I love the video on the technicalities BUT!!!!! Giving instructions like „put your cheek“ out is exactly what I don’t understand. This is what we are all failing at, because we don’t know what a good pose would look like! So I can’t give her directions. Please help us with that 😊😊😊
I recently went on a holiday with boyfriend and before we left. I showed him this video and since then during the whole trip his photos improved a lot. Gotta thank you for this David! You’re helped improve my own confidence with poses and my bf photography skills too ❤
