Hi everyone,
since they are discontinued, power function motors got really expensive. Instead of finding reasonable solutions to that problem, I designed 6 ways to split the rotational directions of the input. i’ve been trying to think of ways to make a motor control numerous different gears/axles separately, and this works.

eh, nice work! and I m still trying to figure out how to make a motor on a simple bicycle, select front or rare wheel drive. or even both. motor in the middle and front and rare wheels with 2 chains to give rotation. with a simple selector near the motor smaller gears to change motor gear. its like a 2 speed gear box but without the speeds and without reversing the motor polarity. any ideas ?

The nice thing with the ratchet one is it locks the unused outputs. All the others leave one output free to spin.

Using less motors where you origninally needed 2, to reduce cost, size and weight

@@in1 well yeah, but you can only turn one output at a time, and in only one direction. Hoping I can be corrected, but I can't think of any application for it given those drawbacks.

This is useful for Lego robotics when the number of outputs on the controller is very limited. Spike prime has only 6 ports so if you want to do 2 wheels, 2 sensors, then you only have 2 extra ports for motors.
