Im 78 years old and had broken fib and tib. X ray at 6 weeks and surgeon said off with moonboot, start walking and do the excercises. A bit daunting at first I felt very vulnerable. Now at 12 weeks walking really well ankle still swollen and stiff but getting better all the time. I was walking without aids at 7 weeks post op.
I am so pleased to hear that you are doing well. I had the same break, and I am at 8 weeks. My doctor has me at 50% weight bearing, but he wants me to continue with my air cast boot. I have no pain. I am 80 years old and I am looking forward to getting back to my active life.
I’m 46 years old and I’m in my 6th week after surgery I had the same injury 2 ankle fractures and is very exciting to read your testimony it gives me lots of hope can’t wait to start walking again. Thank you very much for sharing. Blessings!!!
