Have you seen the video where the adult swimmer notices a juvenile great white near him and decides to swim at it while it tries to swim away. this girl at 6 was far smarter then the guy in his 20's

Why make such a dumb remark? Clearly that’s not what happened. The moms video is 0:58 seconds long, which ended :02 seconds after the shark came into vision. Stop assuming things

Agreed. In Australia the Media always report its the shark fault been in the water not the Human in the water and the shark home in the water..You go in the water at your own risk...

@@iamj.c7933 Actually we literally only see 2 seconds more, so she is telling the truth. I get it, you see a mom, and automatically wanna blame her for something but youre just wrong here.
Raised both my boys by the beach & never really had fear. But after I took a helicopter flight over the beach one day. I had seen so many sharks so close to the public, that now I am stuck with fear everytime I take the boys out. It sucks.
Yeah, it is a lot better to not know. I had myself believing all the dangerous sharks were in Florida (just specifically Florida, I am not sure why) until an ex told me the biggest sharks he ever saw were off the shore of my favourite beach in Eastern Canada. He grew up fishing off the Florida coast. I've always been wary of the tide, I was almost sucked out by the undertow when I was a kid, but sharks never really crossed my mind while in the water until after that.
The country where I am now doesn’t really have any shark encounters but I still get scared by it, maybe this is the reason why I started fearing the ocean.
I go fishing in the ocean and sharks have ran into my legs knocked me over and been around me they domt normally attack people for no reason just dont bother them obviosuly tho it's a different story if your in the water at feeding times dusk and dawn
she was already video taping her child playing in the water. when she noticed she dropped the phone and ran in the water for her child. how she gonna run with the camera

@@iamj.c7933 could you stop commenting this on everyone's comment it's getting annoying seeing the same comment over and over gosh get a life and move on we get it I understand your point but what did you really expect her to do within those 5 seconds of seeing a fin she could've dropped it after she probably realized later than you think geez if your so mad make a protest in the streets .
She was surprised it happened... she probably didn’t realize what was happening. Takes a few seconds to process what’s going on. She even said she dropped the phone when she realized what it was
I highly doubt her Mom was "literally fine" with recording when she understood that it was a shark and not a person. You're acting like this little girl wasn't surrounded by several other people that could've spotted it and started yelling shark shark shark. They just didn't know there was a shark. Thats all. Let's not disrespect the mom for taking 3 seconds to process that it wasn't a person/wave/fish but a shark.
That girl is so lucky to be alive. Ever since I watched shark week with my dad back in 2019 when I was 10 years old no one can even make me go into the ocean water alone

They don't care you're there. If they feel something unknown next to them, they'll usually freak out and swim away. Plus it's super rare they'd attack to begin with.
@Ryan Puska Well yeah but only around 5 people on average die to sharks per year when thousands of people encounter them. You're much more likely to be killed by a dog
@@disisgudcomic3629 that’s kind of an unfair thing to compare sharks with Bc ppl don’t go to the beach every single day 24 7 you can easily get a dog and it can bite you just to play the amount of space in between the bite counts is to much pick a diff animal that actually makes since that we don’t encounter basically every single day
I’m glad she’s okay. I swim a lot at night on my own. Yes I know the dangers. I got my reasons. I’ve been bumped by a few sharks in my day. It’s their way of asking “can I eat you?” In my opinion, “yeah.” They never do. Human is too salty. Particularly American human. Overly marinated.
I swam at night a few times on the ocean. Got sweep out by a rip and someone I was with followed me but had no idea how to deal. I had to swim back out and teach him how to body surf after calming him down. He was doing the main things you shouldn't do. Panic and swim against it. That is why he ended up farther out. We ended up on shore very far from where we went in. You can never win fighting a current. I always use the waves to take me back to shore.🌊🌊🌊 Never bumped a shark luckily.
I was at the beach a couple weeks ago and a alert popped up on my moms phone and it said 6 great white sharks were circling the area. But we didn’t see one so that’s good.
Thank goodness this little girl wasn’t hurt ! How terrifying this must have been for her ! I can’t believe the mom was recording that long :( I would have dropped everything to get my kid out of the water
Mum said that daughter was screaming shark and running out of water. Tape ends then. Mum says she didn’t see the shark and often when in bright sun you can’t see what your filming clearly. Half time I point ph towards kids and hope for the best at the beach, especially bright with all the reflections too.
@@somerandomasmrr I wouldn't go into the seawater or ocean water. However I do like to see the beach and relax watching the waves. More power to people who do go out there. It is interesting if we think about it only 10% of the ocean has been explored for sure.
The little girl was holding a toy in her right hand waving it around, the shark probably thought it was a fish, She’s lucky it didn’t bite off her hand.
Seriously thats not even fair it takes a few seconds to process what's going on the last thing someone would suspect is a fish that big THAT CLOSE to the shore I mean im talking just a couple feet of water here. And its different when your looking at the water in real life with the sun reflecting on it she probably couldn't tell the difference between a fin and a wave. but once she realized her daughter felt she was danger the recording stops.
One, you can’t even see the shark until the end of the recording. Two, I probably would of froze up for a few seconds too and then go run and get her because it’s ligit shocking to see a shark at all. It would also take me a second to process that that’s a shark and not anything else
She literally said "when she came out of the water and said there was a shark I stopped filming immediately" likely didn't even see the shark. The sun is extremely bright when reflecting on water and if she was looking through her phones lense, it would have been very easy to miss
The mom probably didn't know what was happening cause humans needs to process their minds first, just like any other animals. It's fairly obvious that she will be thinking what was happening cause seeing a large fish coming out of the shore is a pretty rare site. So you can't blame the mom. Edit: if this is a joke then this my response, just in case someone from reddit woooosh me. "Lmao"
Usually id agree, but they were filming their daughter having fun and a shark entered frame for literally 3 seconds. There's lots of stuff flopping around in the ocean and it takes time to register whats actually happening in the moment.
@@tavmansn1122 The ocean is dangerous. People die in it on a regular basis near shore. I would never have let my 6 year old be out there in the ocean alone period.
Shark: "man I can't catch a break, first humans pollute our ocean home and now a miniature human not only scared the life out of me but she interrupted my fishing hunt so now I have no breakfast 😞😓😩)
I think she meant that she was recording her daughter play beforehand and then dropped the phone after her daughter screamed about the shark in the water.
I’m glad the kid’s okay. I’ve been to Oahu years ago. Went snorkeling in Hanauma Bay. I was lucky. I didn’t see or get bothered by any sharks. Thank Goodness! Like I said, great job getting away from that shark, Kiddo! Smart girl. 👍!
Wow! She's really lucky she got to have had such a cool encounter with nature first hand! I bet she'll remember it for years to come and while it probably was very scary for her at the time, hopefully one day she'll recognize what an honour it was to meet such a majestic creature even if was only for a second 😃🦈💖
Where's the child protective services when that kid needs them !!! Sounds like child endangerment to me when a little girl is screaming SHARK !!! Not the time for family photos.
Wow! Smart little girl! Sharks aren't the mindless killing machines movies have made them out to be, but they do make mistakes, which can be fatal for a human. The girl acted quickly and was so brave!
little girl: ahh mom im getting attacked by a shark mom: shut up this will get me lots of views we'll be rich also mom: i dropped my phone also the mom: continues to record daughter being attacked
For some reason a year ago I wasn’t afraid of sharks at all. Now I know they’re dangerous and I try to stay away from them but I wasn’t always like that. Once, I was boogie boarding with my friends when one of their little siblings said he saw a shark. He was always lying so no one believed him. I was paddling further and further from shore on my boggy board and I looked down... that’s when I saw it... and I was like “Oh there’s a shark... ok.” (I was an odd 10 year old)
