@@B1G_B65 form is not really that good.. your eccentric should't be going up faster than your concentric during the first few reps and it doesn't look like he keeps his chest out, dude certainly is a monster but that is not good form
Now i do me + 20 kg for 8 and the most I've done was 25 kg for 6 thx for the support the calisthenics community is definitely one of the best I've been a part of 💪💪💪
I'm more impressed how his ass stays in the seat. I'm a broken man currently but back in the day I could do some pretty heavy pull-ups but never tried to max out a machine. I however have been ripped out of the seat doing heavy pull downs😂. Great pulls by this guy.
@@D9Wx I have strong hip flexors but the machine that I was pulled out of had limited adjustability for the leg pads so it didn't go quite low enough to hold my legs in. The rollers just rolled my legs out😆.
Weighted pullups are the best lift ever and they have been my primary lift for like 3 years now. I went from being 180 pounds of fat down to 150 pounds and started at maybe 5 bodyweight pullups. Maybe a year in I could do 30 pullups if I was fresh. Now I'm back to 180 pounds but able to do +90 pound pullups for sets of 6-8. These alone have built my back, biceps, forearms, and core.
@@BobMarley-zu5sc I did other stuff for the rest of my body but that is all I did for back. Not saying that you should only do one thing for a muscle group, however that particular thing worked really well for me
Bro it is so tempting to start calistenics because if i did then i would probably work harder since there is new skills to learn that you have to work for. When i lift weights it is just the same thing over and over again with no real goal that makes me push myself
@@zeno4538Its dedication because with dedication your testosterone increases you basically differentiate from the average human now genetics isn't a valid excuse anymore I see a midget bench 400 and squat over 500
we don't see him from the side but i think he is not leaning that much even i he is leaning back as you say it's still impressive because it's good form
Very, very impressive! I previously trained using Pulldowns and not Chin Ups/Pull Ups. Since my return to serious training I have trained exclusively at home and being without a cable machine at home I have used band assisted Chins/Pull Ups (I picked up a couple of injuries unassisted) Using band assistance ensures my form is perfect and that I do enough quality reps to build the most muscle. That way I can also slow the tempo down and can change band thickness/strength to perfectly control and maximise results. Now approaching 50 my back is considerably wider and thicker due to this, so I rate Pulls/Chins WAY above Pulldowns.
My lat pulldowns have literally skyrocketed since I have included weighted pull-ups in my routine. Like every new gym I go to I'm able to max out. Weighted Pull-ups are so goated
Hey Ian , can u make video about how to progress in weighted chalistenics .That would be so helpfull for me and I m sure for other people aswell. Kind Regards ❤
Do it like in lifting. 3 sets of 5 adding 5lbs each workout (3x a week) for your novice linear progression and then adding set and rep schemes after that
If your doing pullups with your bodyweight. Only makes sense to do the same weight on the latpulldown . I think pullups work more of your core too , than latpulldowns though .
The power consumption is impressive, but 20% more $ for 50% more VRAM and 33% more performance 2.5 years after the 3070 release just doesn’t impress me. If this released at $500, I’d be all over it. However, the 3080 and 6950XT exist at roughly the same price, so the power consumption is the only thing I appreciate about the 4070
The reps are decent, the last part of the rep you need to shoot your chest out. It’s the only way to maximally contract the lats. Try it, flex your back with your arms at your side, now pull back hard and shoot your chest out. You’ll feel it.
This is evidence that you don't have to be massive to be strong. Not saying this guy is small by any means, but he's not as big as most bodybuilders. And yet he's probably outfitting a lot of them
Gotta say, as a huge gym buff, myself.. some machines have the tension calibrated differently than normal.. i.e. l may do 200 lb on one machine, and do the same exact exercise, on a different machine, calibrated differently, and may only manage 140 lb... nevertheless, this is impressive.. kudos! Ive never seen a narrow-grip attachment, used on a pulldown machine.. it looks like it is beneficial, in the sense that, it naturally forces you to have good form (by not getting your back into the motion, by arching it (which is cheating and causes injuries)) lm going to try this... thanks!
My old Manager, Todd Flannigan (UK Powerlifter) told me that if I want to get stronger with my 5x5 lifts then every week I should be looking to increase all that weight by 1.25kg a side. (2.5kg increase a week) Let’s say you’re pulling 100kg. Max. Then if you wanna increase, add a 1.25kg plate each side and do that every week If everything is perfect, then every week I should be increasing that weight. With that in mind, I feel like this is possible to achieve within a year, even if you only pull a quarter of the stack from where you start. I believe him, considering every time he competes he dominates. Big love brother, keep smashing it!
