What a fantastic mix!! The unused recordings were especially fun, it's exciting to hear a new (old) twist on something I've loved forever. Thanks for sharing your work!
Only one ride in Disneyland makes me feel complete whenever I go, and that ride is this one right here, The Haunted Mansion. Thank you, Walt Disney. Thank you, Marc Davis. Thank you, Claude coats. Thank you, X, Atencio. Thank you, Blaine Gibson. Thank you, Buddy Baker. Thank you, Paul Frees. Thank you, Leota Toombs. Thank you, Eleanor Audley. Thank you, everyone for working so hard together to make such a memorable and beloved part of Disneyland and my favorite ride in it ever.
YW. I love this ride and Pirates most of all, as they are original, whist drawing on themes. Films came after them unlike most. And they are overall dark in both figurative and literal senses. But this one was going to be an actual house tour with a live guide in the form of a cast member before they went with the omnimover ride, yet having the Ghost Host honours and pays tribute to this, and while he's never been removed and most of his dialogue remains, all of the corridor lines after the first tend to be left out. It's much stronger when he remains constant until leaving the seance. Fortunately, generally sticking around until leaving the seance has mostly remained the thing, leave us with the spirits until leaving the place. This one element is what makes this somewhat narrative, and not just your standard haunted house tour.
11:55 I imagined the removed screaming sounds from the Attic scene would be reinstated in this tribute video; imagine if Disney still kept that in (maybe alongside the haunting piano?) in the American rides.
I remember going to Disneyland with my friend Angela in grad night at Lakewood high school in 2006 we were going to the haunted mansion ride it was so much fun
rickydoodlebug .....the original at disneyland actually had a story for each painting due to it being an actual elevator but when they built splash mountain there was a fire next to the room that held the soundtrack so legends has that somewhere in the disney vault is another copy.
When I was young on my first time at Disneyland with my dad I was totally chill the who ride but there was a family who had children who were scared half to death and wanted to leave but before that the door to the stretching room
Would it be possible if you did a new Haunted Mansion audio mix with the bride and Hatbox Ghost along with the Joe Leahy spiel? Also, would it be possible to remix Haunted Mansion Holiday with the current music, but with Jack Skellington's voice at the end instead of Oogie Boogie's?
It's funny that over in Florida, the "Do not pull down on the safety bar please..." spiel is still used. Here in California, they got Joe Leahy doing it. Does that bother you?
