I was out taking my dog to potty last night and heard a group of these guys bugling. The sound was familiar but I didn’t think the were elk where I live. Gave me a bit of a fright at first but once I realized… Such a cool experience! Their calls are so hauntingly beautiful
@@TravelGal-to7ws It startled him at first, and he stood in front of me like he was guarding me before he realized things were ok. Then he just did his business like nothing happened, lol
First time i heard this sound i was driving across montanas border at like 1200 at night and was deep in the mountains. Never heard anything like it before, thought satan was coming for me
Elk are one of the most beautiful animals especially when it's hunting season for elk and you come across these majestic animals and it's foggy out and you hear them bugling it makes the hair on your neck stand up ❤
I heard these animals on the weekend calling at 1am pitch black in Whistlers campground in Jasper National Park 10 fee5 from my tiny camper. Scariest thing I’ve ever heard.
@@WildlifeOnVideo The rut is like a Holiday, it only comes once a year...& It's something enjoyed by many!!..🤗..that's Awesome for u Both, music to your ears, 😊 🎶🎵🎶..& Yw!! 🙂
Weird question but are these bulges ok for sound effect uses? Can't find any other place that has such a variety of calls with such crsip and beautiful quality. Will give credit and all.
Living in the sticks in western washington is amazing. We see deer in our yard. We hear coyotes yipping at night. We hear elk every once in a while but see them all the time in the early morning. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The population of our town is 50 and it's super spread out.
That sounds like absolute paradise. I despise living in the city, to much concrete, not enough greenery, and way too many people. Just going outside gives me anxiety.
I was in the middle of nowhere camping in the fall and to my surprise once about midnight hit things got very interesting I've never heard that before and it was quite the experience
I know this may sound a little strang to sum. But this noise clams me. Clears all other noise in me. Put me in a very callm fram of mind. Just rember two bretha. Foces.
