What a footballing giant. Glad he's equalled Pele's record of international goals now with 77 goals (after the 2 goals against Estonia, September 2023)
I think the Belgian generation (E.Hazard, Felainni, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Aderweield, Chadli, Vertonghen, Witsel, Courtouis) that emerged in 2014 possibly if it goes to the World Cup will be much weaker in 2022, than in 2018, mainly in defense, as this generation is losing its breath in the knockout, to remain strong it will have to have new promising players that emerged after the 2018 Cup and in the UEFA Nations league of 2020/2021.
Belgium will have alot of new/young players in 2022. Tielemans ( Leicester City ), Doku ( Rennes ), Saelemaekers ( AC Milan ), Vanheusden ( Genoa ), Lokonga ( Arsenal ), Bornauw ( Wolfsburg ), De Ketelaere ( Club Brugge ) etc... Just to name a few.
