JUNK, I purchased a very expensive Flexsteel recliner in 2015. I was having shoulder surgery and was told I would have to sleep on a recliner for a while. The furniture store said this was the one. Was great at first but within a year the back cushion springs were being felt. Now cushion is crap. Doesn't mean shit if the steel lasts forever if everything else wears out. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY Buy cheaper, at least you can replace it every five years and not pay as much.
I'm looking at the flexsteel monet and you might have saved me $6000. Sorry to hear about your back. I want a sectional with reclining features for the same reason. Any other brand you recommend for longevity? I'm tired of rebuying furniture!
I have flex steel and it is garbage. Seat wore out in like two years. I’m a big guy. But this shit isn’t cheap. Had my last set 8 way hand tied for 16 years and it was still good. Dammit.
I have that cheap modern recliner that most of the furniture stores carry and opened up last night and the metal separated from the particle board on the right side and the whole thing collapsed to the side with me in it. I guess with the flexsteel being made of wood and having a good mechanism at least it can be repaired at a good upholstery shop which is more than I can say for my situation.
