I have a theory: when the 60 seconds to get the supplies where up, Ted didn’t have time to get the rest of his family, that explains why he is the only live action person. The sock that is with Ted is his “friend” that he made when he when insane (if you attempt a Ted only challenge then Ted will go insane on the 2nd day) is not actually alive, he made it all up, he is pretending his family is in there, that’s why they [the rest of the family] are cartoons and not humans. So all this time, Ted was imagining all of this because he didn’t like the reality which his family died, so he made it all up, he made the ad, he created all of this by himself, he created his own world where his family didn’t die and he is friends with a sock, that is why the journal refers to Ted as “we” because it’s HIM writing the journal, he is referring to him and Weasley the sock, but this is all just a theory... ...A GAME THEORY!
