Am I the only one who ever read any of the movie novelizations? We were told way back in 1976 that Palpatine was the Emperor. It says so in the Prologue on page 1: "...the ambitious Senator Palpatine caused himself to be elected President of the Republic....Once secure in office he declared himself Emperor, shutting himself away from the population." I remember all the fuss and speculation back when Ep.1 came out where everyone was wondering who would become Emperor and who that Senator Palpatine was.
Look... nobody realized they were playing Palpatine until they realized it😂. Even Palpatine didn't r3alize he was playing Palpatine until his character was extended upon. ALSO... gotta love George for the simple fact that he created an amazingly adaptive universe that he openly approved side off stories and expansions... for a guy like him to seel out to Disney and let them full depreciate and DESTROY his creation is more of a tell of Disney. Not so much him. George created a masterpiece but even he was humble enough to know he created it on a whim. If only he'd have sold out to the fans and not a regime.
Everyone misunderstands the "high ground" bit. It wasn't that having the high ground was an automatic win. It was that Obi-Wan had already defeated a high ground duel position by taking out Maul and knew how to both defeat and better utilize that position due to experience. The emphasis is not, "I have the *high* ground [being an unbeatable advantage]," but, "*I* [who mastered it] have the high ground."
Tell Mythbusters that in the first movie because darth maul had the high ground it gave Obi-Wan an experience advantage in having trained and retrained over and over. then anikan, to proove he's superior felt he had to beat Obi-Wan the way he beat maul which is why Obi-Wan says "dont try it", cus he has more experience with this
Why was there so much dead air at the end of this video? It’s clear it was complied of 3 videos stitched together but I thought they might have at least filmed an outro and not leave 13 minutes of dead air 😂😂
Disney had the sequels from the S W Prequel trilogy passed to them so, we were bound for a change in each of the movies' concepts, and that was just the integrated stepping stone towards in to getting the Palpatine trilogy as well. I don't know whether the little E.T.'s were only meant as cameo call back to the E.T. Movie or if they were meant as showing us that the E.T. Movie is supposed to be canon to Star Wars, but what was E.T.'s actual body mass size supposed to be, 5ft/4ft and chubby like in the E.T. film or short and as skinny as a small termite mound like the E.T.s from Phantom menace? Those S W PM E.T.s looked only a foot taller than an Oompa Loompa instead of the full 3-4 feet like our Earth friendly E.T.
What was all these compilation videos disguised as new videos? Are you guys running out of ideas or what? Or are you running out of material should be the real question.
I thought Empire was the first movie that didn't mention the death star Palpatine doesn't say it in the original film or the special edition he just says "we have a new enemy luke skywalker" it wasn't until 2005 that Ian Mcdirmond came in and said "We have a new enemy. The Young Rebel who destroyed the death star."
Look... nobody realized they were playing Palpatine until they realized it😂. Even Palpatine didn't realize he was playing Palpatine until his character was extended upon. ALSO... gotta love George for the simple fact that he created an amazingly adaptive universe that he openly approved side off stories and expansions to create a lore that he couldnt personally expand ypon through writing... for a guy like him to sell out to Disney and let them fully depreciate and DESTROY his creation is more of a tell of Disney. Not so much him. George created a masterpiece but even he was humble enough to know he created it on a whim. If only he'd have sold out to the fans and not a regime. Maybe Star Wars would've gotten the TLC it fucking deserved. I've seen better content created by fans than anything Diseny can ever "create"
I question the E.T. issue because a lot of fellow Star Wars fans believe that the PM E.T.s makes the movie cannon to the E.T. Movie because Lucas himself claims it, but how can that be the truth? You don't really see very many children in the Pod Race audience and those little E.T.s does not seem like children at all and also our E.T. is much more friendly and peaceful than the PM E.T.s who does not strike anyone as a creature that would be much interested in either competitive sports or violence or betting on a racer or partake in political competition at all. How can anyone call that movie cannon?
NO DAMMIT.. NO REBOOTS.. PLEASE!! These are all cult classics of the genre. They cant be improved on.. and theres no such thing as "a modern audience " to make them for. (The lazy, common excuse for hollywood having given up 99% on original works). Have always maintained that the 70's & 80's were the most creative decades in hollywood because film making was still analogue and cgi hadn't replaced physical effects yet (think "the thing, alien, blade runner ect.ect.ect ..the list really us endless!)
20 years later and they are still awful. The only thing that's changed is the VFX are more dated. This is why you should't be supportive of all your kid's thoughts. They grow up to think they are all gold.
