Ap sylas is just strictly better unless you're basic attacking them while waiting for you cooldowns. If you get in and get out then AP is better. If you go in and stay in then Crit is better.

Zwag did this a while ago, but now crit items are 25% so...this could be even MORE viable now, so yeah, it makes sense. The best part? Stacking armor doesn't ACTUALLY help against this, since the magic damage is critting...

@@mrmangbro6842 er isnt bought for the sheen effect, its the 25% crit and mana return. He doesnt build a lost chapter item, so it helps with mana sustain and ability haste. Yiu can still pick up tri force or lich bane if you want a good sheen effect, but iceborn might be better for sticking power

I like having this as an option for a Sylas onetrick - If you pick Sylas early, enemy team tends to pick champs that don't have massive aoe AP ultimates. Those ultimates are more often tailored towards AD champions. That's when you bust out this build.

For anyone curious its: Very simillar damage (ap is stronger on 1-2 items) (crit stronger on 4 items). Crit doesn't give ability haste and W healing is nonexistant however you can get some lifesteal to compensate. It's not bad at all but just worse than ap. (AP also uses ults a lot better).

sylas does the exact same thing with lichbane and shadowflame because shadowflame makes you execute crit with magic damage, you just scale worse off AD. taking 1 ability that does 130% AD < Q's total 130% AP ratio + W's 80% AP ratio on the damage + and E's 100% AP ratio.

The passive doesn't have a 130% ad ratio, only a 30% ratio, because the 100% is the base auto attack damage Similar to how galio's passive has a 100% ad ratio

No it still is 130%, building 100AD increase the damage of the passive proc by 130. Whereas 100AP will increase the damage by 50. And it seems like the entire attack can crit. Problem is that sylas has pretty gargantuan AP ratios on all his basic spells, and any ultimate he steals scales exclusivity on AP. Hence crit and AD just being trash regardless but still creative.

He one shots with this build? So it's just like AP Sylas with a worse heal, but better sustained damage (until AP Sylas gets enough Ability Haste to have everything at near 0 CD). At least it sounds like a fun Arena build.
