Cardiff v Millwall in 1976 and Cardiff v Man Utd in 1974 were even worse. There were just not as many cameras around back then, to film it all.

Brighton v Spurs 77-78 at the Goldstone was pretty crazy. I still remember some Brighton in their main end walking towards the Tottenham lot in the away end, pointing out and calling out some of the Spurs supporters before the game. I suppose that they didn't realise that Spurs were already in their end at that time. We could see some Spurs around the middle of of Brighton's end showing us their football tops letting us know that they were already in that end. The rest of the Spurs were in the right hand side of their end and loads more Spurs joined them climbing over the fence and dodging the coppers 😃

Millwall Chelsea fa Cup 95, Chelsea did not chase millwall out of the stand at all, about a dozen Chelsea lads got on the pitch and run at millwall and a tiny pathetic scrap behind the goal took place and barely anyone got hurt, most of the main millwall lads was at the back of the make shift stand which I think became the Mathew harding stand then came forward to join the fight but by the time we got there the police had sent the horses on the pitch and formed a line. After the game and before the game millwall marched down the Kings Road and all it was was just a few missile back on fourth. These football stories will always come with huge exaggerations.

Highbury in the mid 60's. Arsenal Vs Glasgow Rangers friendly. The half time result between Glasgow Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur was announced. The banter started then I saw a bottle thrown by some Arsenal fan idiot fly into the steel roof spans of the 'North Bank'. It shattered and fell on the Rangers fans! All hell broke out--hundreds of bottles started flying from the Rangers fans at the Arsenal fans! I covered my head and ran through heaps of beer bottles that were being consumed by Rangers fans ! I saw Policemen on the floor as I kicked my way through the bags of full beer bottles! I reached safety and saw the game had stopped! After that bottles were banned from being taken into the grounds.

Cardiff v MILLWALL -we (Millwall) were put on an open terrace, and at the end of the game, cardiff fans were let out first and they went behind the terrace and began throwing bricks and rubble from the building site there, over the fence at us...we were forced onto the empty pitch and a group of about 500 of us ran down the player's tunnel and out through the emergency exit where we faced the cardiff mob (who were as surprised as we were to be face to face), a skirmish occured, but we gave as good as we got before old bill arrived to seperate us.

Please try and get your facts right when doing these. In the infamous riot at the end of the 1995 FA Cup match Chelsea v Millwall, there wasnt a single Millwall fan in the (then new) home end. They were all situated in what was then the temporary Shed End (the beloved Shed Terrace had been torn down the previous year) and both sets of fans from the West Stand and temporary stand had ripped seats out and thrown them at each other

I remained with two Forest mates in the West Ham Ground, on the side terrace where we weren't harassed at all. One came from the second special which was held back, having broken away from the station. It was Archie Gemmil's debut and 0-0. I suspect more Forest Fans just kept quiet and stayed where they were. Every Forest tried to mob up in the ground they were attacked. Fans were climbing out over the turnstiles when we got there, looking shocked. Two Forest fans trying to cross the pitch to the other side were arrested. Everything was confusion. So much for segregation and corrupt turnstile operators who let West Ham into the Away Section. We felt safest when we sat in the West Ham Social Club.

Spot on. Leeds fans tried to get the game stopped when City went 2-0 up and the ref brought the players off then 10 minutes later the ref made an announcement saying the game will not be abandoned and we will be here till midnight if needs be. In this game Joe Corrigan and a Leeds fan are squaring up to one another in the Leeds goal area, and earlier Gordon Mcqueen (R.I.P.) and David Harvey was throwing punches at one another. Our local news team reported on tv saying the police said the Man City fans were well behaved as Leeds fans failed to get the game stopped. I would imagine that all these games mentioned on this vlog fans are saying that did not happen and this did not happen, a classic case of half truths.

The Newcastle V Forest game 1974 wasn't abandoned. Forest from the 2nd division were winning 3-1 when the Geordies invaded. the game was stopped for 15 minutes, and resumed with Newcastle winning 4-3. Forest complained , and they had to replay it, with Newcastle winning 1-0 and going onto beat Burnley in the semi-final before losing 3-0 to Liverpool in the final. Forest took over 10,000 to the first game, but only 800 or so to the replay.

I was at that game, it was one of the best away days I ever went to. 6 of us went on the train and we didn't even know we had been given the Hull home end for the day. Imagine being half pissed and having a do with so Hull coz we had gone to the away end not realising only to run into a few Hull City... After a bit of a do we were escorted to the Bradford end just in time for the pitch invasions. Any way after the result on the pitch that got us into the play offs it seriously went off outside the ground. It was fucking mayhem that day.... Yeah a good day, wouldn't you agree
@GaryS-z2e
@GaryS-z2e Год назад
@@StevenClark-u5i It is a game that stands out in the memory without a doubt for the sheer violence, we knew it was going to go off because hulls mob met in the pubs in the city centre and word was going round to invade the pitch .Although hull had a good mob back in the day it was always diluted by the 2 RL teams where sometimes there was as much bother as at the football, places such as Warrington, widnes and st helens come to mind, bradford was also a dodgy place to go too ! But surely the 70s 80s were the best times to be a youth, the fashion, the music, the sport and the freedom everything is sanitised now ?
