The Blue Mountains Sewage Transfer Scheme stands out, as the McConnell Dowell team broke several world tunnelling records during the course of the project.
The project was awarded in June 1993 and was completed 17 months ahead of schedule in June 1995. It was a springboard to the company’s strong presence in New South Wales and those working on the project went onto further McConnell Dowell's company profile.
