I rarely offer suggestions in comments, but these solutions I know for sure work. A "double layer cat litter trapping mat" from Walmart, etc traps sand, grit, dirt, they are waterproof, and you just shake it out. A pie plate (the kind you bake pies in) is great for salads and stores flat in the cabinet.
We saw your mini at morro Bay! My dad totally fan girled but once we found a parking spot you were gone. He's always wanted to drive around in an RV and travel with his kids but we don't have the money to, you have inspired us and awed us with your wonderful videos, your biggest fan, Richard.
Me and my fiance love your videos! Were amused at vloggers who put so much work into the camera angles, we know you had to set up first and then come in and do the scene. Your hardwork doesnt go unnotice! Keep up the awesome videos & dont forget to take care of yourself too ☺️👍
2 things I would suggest looking in to getting for this awesome mini camper: a gps speedometer and a rear camera. You can pick both of these up online fairly cheap and there simple to install. The back up camera, you can get with either a dash mounted screen or as a rear view mirror replacement.
After you pass that sea food market in MB, there’s a taffy shop on the left before you get to the rock. You can buy a small bag of unsalted roasted nuts. Go to the rock on beach side, sit on bench. Squirrels will come eat out o& your hand and even sit on your lap. 😁
Put a shallow tub of water at the back door of your camper. When you come back from the beach step into the tub of water. Then you have clean feet to step on into the camper.
Hubby and I are Calif born and raised. We escaped 18 years ago and didn't stop until we made it to the east coast. We never looked back. There's very little I miss about Calif other than the mountain views and the coast line. I pretty much grew up on the beach and it's where we raised our kids. Are you heading to Santa Barbara? Next town up is Goleta and just above that is El Capitan. We camped there every year for decades. It's camping in the woods but at the beach. It was a great place but who knows now..? Thanks Ryan...REALLY enjoying this trip up the coast!
Previous vid, Ryan stealth camped in Carpenteria traveling opposite direction (North) current vid Pismo / Oceano Beach Dunes. El Capitan Beach is still as you remembered❤and is a favorite get away isolated / undeveloped coastline away from crowds🏝️
Put a small tub of water outside the door. Dunk your feet before entry. No more sand in your space! 4 decades of beach trips and I haven't come up with a better method. Cheers bro!
try using a bench scraper or the spine of the knife to scrape ingredients on the cutting board. Using the edge of the knife to scrape will dull the edge
Not gonna lie after becoming a huge fan and you inspiring me to finally take on van life and travel it’s freaking cool to see you drive around in my hometown! That was a gift thank you
I attended college at CalPoly San Luis Obispo. Loved that area. So many places to free camp, especially fun was Los Osos and Morro Bay. Dockside never disappoints and a big hangout in the 70s. Morro Rock is a bird sanctuary and part of a rock chain some call the Seven Sisters. 😍
For showers you can get a pump up stainless steel garden/pest sprayer. Boil water for a warm shower or just leave it out in the sun or in the cabin. They are good for washing the sand off your feet. Just use a microfibres towel to dry off.
Ryan hope you get to read this. I just want to say thank you for the video footage of America. Me being outside USA and probably never gonna visit appreciate a look into your world. Great channel!! Like the new truck
Ryan, I live in Morro Bay. It's an RV/Camp friendly town and boondocking is rarely a problem. I boondocked once in a dirt parking area off Embarcadero near the Morro Dunes RV park. No one bothered me - woke up one sand dune away from the surf with a great view of the Rock. Don't tell anyone I told you.
Ryan I always pull over and let people pass me when I'm on my motorcycle because I'm never in a hurry to get anywhere. The relaxing journey is usually more fun than the destination. By the way, my motorcycle travels under my bed in my Promaster. Enjoy! Thanks for the videos.
Fry bacon in a saucepan instead of a skillet. Flying grease stays contained, much less mess to clean from the countertop. Great video, CA coast looks awesome!
Awesome vlog. Only thing i don't get is after your run you came back and said there is no way to get 'ungross'. You are literally on the beach. Why don't you go for a dip in the ocean to get 'ungross' . Also when you cooked you basically made the pericho that Allen made in your last vlog without the arepa. Looked awesome. I saved the recipe Allen gave in your last vlog to make both the arepa & the pericho. I picked up the P.A.N. last time i was at the store. Love your vlogs Ryan thanks
Pismo is great but my husbands favorite is Moro. The food is amazing, they have cute vintage and thrift shops in the town proper. Nice coffee shop. One time I saw coastal clean up volunteers pulling derelict tiny boats out of the water people just abandoned. So they take care of stuff pretty good. Most people only visit for the day and move on. Put Point Lobos on your list if your heading up that far. You cant park overnight that I know of but they have an amazing hiking trail with incredible nature views. Tiny town with great food and an amazing bakery. That is my brothers favorite place. 😄
When I was out that way I loved pismo beach really enjoyed it but Morro bay I had a bad vibe from for Some Reason, it seemed a little dirty and that old power station was an eye sore .
So stoked you ended up in my home town of Morro Bay, CA!!! Definitely recommend Giovanni's for clam chowder and fish & chips. I'll be moving back in a month and i used to sit out in the harbor and watch sea otters :) During the winter time the surf goes off and we paddle out across the harbor entrance and surf the Getty! Some of the best surfing in California is in the Central Coast. Some also secret spots that the locals wont tell you LOL. Also the small town is Kai-Yooo-Cuss..is like a more phonetical way of saying it, my close friend aka Uncle owns a churro truck their!
go to home depot n buy plywood have them cout it into the size you need so when u pull out bed you can slid out plywood n you won't feel slats also wod would under cushion when closed so no room lost
You should grab a vacuum storage bag set and vacuum clean clothes up so you can take more. We also vacuum seal any dirty clothes during trips to bring home without dirtying anything else if we can't get to a Laundromat right away.
It is nice to always watch ur video, inspiring to also live on a van ❤ I may suggest if you can try the rechargeable sensor water dispenser or faucet to substitute the faucet to ur mini van its just a bit of power but it works well 😁 Have a safe trip always 😊 watching from the Philippines ❤
Morro Bay is awesome. There is another restaurant called “Dock Side Too”. It has outdoor seating and music on the weekends. I hope you went down to the end of the road by morro rock, by the jetty. There is an awesome stacked rock garden. Thanks for sharing your experiences through your videos!
just remember whenever you are on the central coast, always have a sweater lol although it can reach higher temps a lil more inland, once youre on the beach like where you are it can get chilly quick
You can't eat when the truck is messy because it stresses you out but you can sit and watch a movie with dirty dishes and leftover salad in your sink right by your head! 😂 We love your videos - always entertaining. You were born to cook 😁👍🏼
Hi 👋🏽 Ryan, I love your California coast trip. Remembering mine long time ago, Monterey was one of my favourite, there was a natural aquarium once. Your videos awakened many memories. 🌹👋🏽
I like watching this so much more than I do channels which focus on luxury travel. I'm not likely to ever have a chance to live in a van. But it's more my vibe when people visiting airport lounges which I have never seen
You should take your shoes off and clean your feet off if needed, before you track all that sand in😵💫🤯 LOL! Also don't put it in 4WD until you get stuck. If you get stuck in 4WD your F'd.
Where Ryan dumped his garbage leaving the Dunes are cold water outdoor showers at both public restrooms for a “quick” pressure cleanse personally preferred then the “dude wipes”. Yes, I’m a Black Card Member at PF-AG my homebase😂😂😂💪😎👍👍⬆️
Entertaining video as always, W mini truck build, Love the vanlife series and this one too. I also was wondering when the egg seasoning will be back in stock? Would love to buy some!
For future reference there is a PF in AG connected to Pismo. (Arroyo Grande) past Walmart on that side of highway up on hill close to Ross and Taco Bell.
Are you planning on adding anything to that space on that counter in the camper? Seems like you could put like a mini fridge or shelves or gaming system. But again I think you said that you weren’t done with the bullies so maybe that’s to come later on.
