I really like your videos. My sister and I currently own 5 tractors all leased to a small company out of Findlay Ohio. 2 of them are Classic XLs with 84" condos 2 are Cascadias with 72" condos and...the one that started me down this path...is an old FLD12064 with a 70" mid-roof. All are Cummins powered. The Classics have 13 speed Eaton Fuller transmissions and the 120 has a Super 10. My sister insisted on dragging me (kicking and screaming) into the 21st century when we bought the Cassies by ordering them with automatics! My buddy (who also drives for us) and I are old school and prefer to shift. The closest thing I ever got to an automatic in a big truck is that Super 10. However my sis and my buds wife (our 4th driver) love their autos even though they both know how to shift. The old FLD now just serves as a backup. Maybe I'll jump in one of the Cassies someday and try out an automatic for myself. Maybe my arthritic left knee won't hurt as much at the end of a day?
I love your videos because it gives a sense that we are on the ride too. Little guy trucker wants viewership but he makes videos of irrelevant trucking experience (he'll have a vid dedicated to his 5 year old son and his toys). I mention him only because we went through Roadmaster, Orlando almost the same time.
Some real words of wisdom Johnny, at this time in my life, I am disabled, I cant work and do the jobs I use to do, like driving truck, but I am satisfied with where I am in life right now, don't have much money, but I have found that god will provide me with my needs day bye day, not all my wants, but somehow my needs are being met, and sense I stopped chasing the elusive dream of being rich with money, my life has become more peaceful, and happy, GBG, Johnny.
Hey John don't know how i stumbled onto your video but i liked it. I met a friend from the Philippines online already going on 3 years ago we just video chat share stories life styles cultures and the one thing that caught my attention on your video was the Banana!! My friend peels it from the bottom just like you did i thought that was backwards at first but now i do the same i was told by my friend that i was peeling it wrong.
is your stearing wheel kind of broken of sth.?....i am just asking because you driving straight and your stearing wheel looks like you making a right turn.
Are you driving a Peterbilt in this vid? If so, what year/model is it? It's a guess by the three lines in the grill.... I drive an '07 Freightliner, also with Fuller-Eaton auto/manual transmission (and it doesn't have that area in the middle that you dislike!). I haven't watched any of your other vids besides you stopping in Jamestown, ND..... You totally didn't know about the truck plaza in Jamestown on the east side of town! That made me laugh when you had to back up near McDonalds! ;)
What kind of data plan are you using? You should need a big amount of data with all your videos... so how many volume you have and how is the coverage?
john vollrath I mean the amount of data per month... but with unlimited maybe you don't care... unfortunatelly nobody has real unlimited data anymore, most of the plans cut the speed after 2.5GB are used... then you just have 2G, which is really slow
Love video. History on your dad. I just have problems with drivers who drive automatic trucks. Not trucking. I'm sory. Don't mean to be disrespectful. But real driving is grabbing gears. But thanks for sharing. enjoyed the ride. See if they can get you a 10 or 13 speed. Lol. Stay safe out there
