This is a car I've never thought about for many years as I dabbled in turbo 6s and V8s after getting a license but as a kid the GC8 STI was the poster car for me and just recently I've falling back in love with it, bringing back that nostalgic love I had for it when I was a kid. Such a nice car
As an ex-WRX and EVO 6 owner I can say that launching these well is far from consistent and requires a degree of mechanical sadism $$$ that generally breaks stuff. As a current RS3 owner I can say the DCT gearbox and launch control is worth more than the engine itself. Can’t beat em, join em.

If you can build a WRX to 430kwatw - you can afford a $220 Dragy and do proper data gathering and improvement. Sharing the data with the community online through the app, is also useful.
