The funny thing about running over AT guns is its historically accurate, in the US war games a tank could only take out an AT gun by running it over, and during the Pacific campaign a Stuart crew actually did it against a Japanese AT gun.
To my knowledge, the germans actually did this pretty often in France - the speed of their advance was so fast that the tank crews LITERALLY overran enemy AT gun positions.
"American engineering was built different" Bo... You have no idea man. We literally took the idea of a tank and asked "But does it have enough machine guns?" and collectively said "No". So we put more machine guns in/on our tanks. Then we asked ourselves the same question again, and again, and again until it became something of a revelation that other countries were in fact not using trenches and were engaging from long range with proper cannons and mobile tactics. It was then that we reconsidered our position and shat out the Lee/Grant tank as a sort of stopgap before we channeled our forefathers love of country and stood before God himself with our beloved Sherman tank to be judged, and the Lord smiled upon us. Then in typical American fashion we just upgraded the shit out of it a hundred different times in a thousand different ways because "if it ain't broke DO NOT FUCKING CHANGE IT" is gospel and considering God himself gave his blessing we just kinda figured the Sherman kicked ass. And kicketh thy ass it did. God bless America.
The rate of fire for the Turan I was indeed very fast. The 40 mm gun it mounted was a variant of the same caliber AT gun and AA gun both used extensively within the Hungarian army. It was borderline an autocannon, similar to the German 20 mm mounted on things like sdkfz armored cars and the Panzer 2, although obviously not to the same effect. All in all, the actual tank itself was very neat, with the main issue being that it was roughly 2 years too late, and outdated when going up against things built and designed in '43-44. In a game not locked by WW2 development years however, it is highly effective point-for-point against things that are in the same price-range.
@@ThatZenoGuy " It was borderline an autocannon." Borderline. As in, not quite, almost there but not totally, it was not an autocannon but the rof is close to one.
@@vallergergo737 Autocannons are at least somewhere around 80 RPM. Its not remotely an autocannon, not even close. It's like saying an M1 Garand is 'borderline a light machinegun'.
The Turan III, Zrinyi 1 and 2, and the Nimrod Tank Destroyer/Anti Air hybrid are some of the best vehicles I've ever used in a game Just for how much fun I have with them An absolute blast that's given me a real world obsession with Hungarian Equipment
As some have said, one day Bo will remember to turn on silhouettes. Also be aware that Valour 3D models are a bit wonky, some are very old models from the mid 2000s that haven't been properly converted to use CtA's armor system.
