I have 2020 R6. love it, till death do we part! Can't believe they discontinued it. I truly think kawi Honda and Suzuki are Laughing their ass off for Yamaha dropping the R6. 600cc screamers are the best bikes ever made. I'm sure those other manufacturers will gladly take the extra 600cc sales, while yamaha keeps wasting more time and resources inventing other bikes "frantically" trying to make up for the loss of the R6...
Lovely video, thank you! In Australia things are bleak however at least we're not completely doomed. R6 is discontinued and nowhere to be found, likewise with the GSX-R. Our only viable option is the ZX-6R, the CBR600RR doesn't count as it's over 27K! What on earth happened there, this is a video on its own. 27K for a 600cc? What!? Surely they won't sell a single unit.

Although, it hard to ignore now, even in the US that manufacturers and racing organizations seem to be moving on to different classes and a Yamaha R9 rumors are increasingly seemingly to be more than just rumors. You can get roughly 2.7 zx6r s for that price. I don't know about you but it doesn't take a genius to see what the better value is. Kawasaki, hands down is the most bang for your buck.
The CBR600RR is now over $29K Though last week at my local dealership it was on "special" for $25K and probably the same bike I saw on the showroom floor months ago. Thus anyone who buys this bike would be a real chump. Namely insurance alone is approx $1500 annually providing you're over 30. All this wouldn't be so bad in Australia if it wasn't for the fact that Honda practically have absolutely nothing to offer in street or sports for the experienced rider. Namely because they only offer their 650R bikes in neutered versions for leaners.
As an aussie it really doesnt make sense that the cbr600rr is $28k whilst the zx6r is only $17k. a zx -10r goes for the same price as the cbr600! and the gsx 750 is also only $17k ride away.
I'm with you on that. Honda has never been able to nail the price for their bikes. It's probably a great bike but it's too little, too late and for too much money.

If you live in Europe, it's very painful Remember riding the zx6r (2007), and now you see the modern 600 2 cylinder 75cv.. please, when you turn on your 600, give some gas for your fellow European bikers.

So you mentioned a few things that I disagree with. I've seen many videos of the CBR Rrr in the US. Also the 2021 model of the zx6r in pearl nightshade teal does have ABS. I know. I own one.
Oh, my misunderstanding. I should have looked at when you posted the video. You know what's funny is I've seen the ABS models with. kIBS sticker on the front fender. Which stands for Kawasaki's Intelligent Braking System (ABS) and mine did not come with either. However I know for sure 100% that I do have the ABS model.

But it's actually cool that some manufacturers are not giving up on us 600cc lovers just yet. Funny story, I bought the 2019 ZX6R with ABS (I literally looked for ABS because I wanted to ride it on streets) and then ended up taking it to the track and deleting ABS... silly me lol.. wasting money on shit i don't need :D
@@glenmcintire3106 I'd like to believe so. Some of my pro-racer buddies dis-agree and say when I get faster, I might find it's limits in terms of steering ability. I'm not there yet and it works great for me. I'll cross that bridge when I get to that level of skill.
Love living in USA in state with no inspection smog crap. 300zxtt modded no cats no problem. Zx6 full header and pipe and tip no cat crap, no problem. Will not luve in sniffer state.
Haha! love it! It's the same in a lot of countries. By the way, I'm told that the laws do exist that can get us in trouble but the cops don't bother with those things. Florida is exceptionally chilled out anyway so I love that even more. My ZX6R is beyond recognizable from it was stock anyway.
@@rt2255 True. That's why the ZX6R is now a track only bike so I can ride it to my heart's desire without having to worry about that. And for the street I got a Yamaha XSR900 which is supposed to be my chill bike if I can chill haha
The ZX6R is undoubtedly the most comfortable among these 4. Also happens to be the one with the highest power among the 4. If you want to look at other bikes for street riding. You could look at another video I did comparing street naked bikes.
600cc class def declined in popularity but still very relevant and not going anywhere. It's still the best package of performance and style for the price.
99% of riders don’t have the skill to ride a modern 1000cc sportbike to its full potential. On the streets, they’re pointless and at the track, there are very few who can even begin to scrape the surface of what modern superbikes are capable of. Just my humble opinion with several years of experience at the track.
Not just Japan, it has been released in several other countries I mentioned in the video. I’m just surprised that’s it’s released in Australia but not in US which are similar markets at least in terms of emissions norms.
Last I checked, it didn't. What I have also learned over the years is that power figures can change quite a lot on what dyno you test it on, whether you're looking at power at the crank or power at the rear tire. So they're all relative and subjective at the end of the day. What is for certain is that the GSXR600 is actually a really good handling motorcycle as I found out when I rode it a couple times at the street and am considering riding one at the track soon.
The one that can perfectly balance power, handling and fitment to the rider's riding style. So it can be different for different riders. Most people like the R6 for the best balance between power and handling for the track! (Most of my friends who're professional racers here in US love the R6 over the ZX). For street riding, the ZX6R would be the best because it's stance is more comfortable for street riding and has more power so in a straight line, you would smoke all the rest! The CBR600RR is a great bike but way too expensive for most people to afford, imo, it could be the second fastest after ZX. The GSXR is just a great overall package and people who own them especially for street riding, absolutely adore them. So selecting the fastest bike is not as simple as most people think!
@@formthesouth Their taxation may be different. I know about India being like that until a few years ago, most bikes and cars that were imported used to cost twice as much. Even now, a Ford Mustang GT in India costs USD 100k! not even kidding lol!
I grew up lusting for the CBR600RR while in India, sadly by the time I got access to it here in the US, other bikes had made progress and offered a better package overall & I ended up grabbing a 2019 ZX6R. I kinda want to still ride a CBR600RR but I'm afraid I might ruin it. 'Never meet your heros' kinda feeling.
