Wow, this is exactly what I want my turbo nismo experience to be like 😍… one day I’ll get a twin kit set up on mines 🤧 Bro can you drop parts list? Just to know and did you drop and stroke the motor or is it all stock internals? Stock intake manifold?
Completely unopened stock motor and stock manifold. Ive seen people run the stock plastic manifold to 800whp. I currently dont have a parts list video but i have a photo on my ig. RedlineCR and vaaro_m
Love that Z34 of yours, straight uo gorgeous. Related question for you. In your experience so far, how is the turbo holding up to daily use? I ask this, because I plan up upgrading from old G37 to new-er 370Z, with long term plans for forced induction (will also be my only vehicle)
Thank you man! And reliability is pretty good considering how much i beat and drive on the car. The only thing is that the car will be in the shop for about 1-2 months when getting the car turbo’d. My car has been to the shop at least once a month for more mods, so just keep that in mind if its your only car
I always keep that a secret 😂 but depends on the purpose. If its a showcar, you dont have to do too much. But for me, i beat the crap out of the car so you want all the supporting mods you can get for cooling, fueling, suspension, etc
@@gburn9377 yea v2’s have the best aero in my opinion. Not sure if you know, but our nismos from factory come with a 3.92 final drive in the diff. I recommend swapping it out before you go turbo’d to at least a 3.69 for longer gearing. I have a 3.53 from the 350z’s
@@vaaro_m like theyre sending us the tunes, but there from uprev, either way, too much power, mangled my transmission, having speedforce racing build me a custom one lol
@@Unxpekted yea after supporting mods, its around there. If the Z is the car you like and got no plan selling it, then go for it. Worth every penny in my opinion 👍
I definitely love the hp range. In the future, I will get the soho supercharger kit and want to make around 500 ish hp on stock block. Then go from there. 🔥🔥🔥 video bro.
Twins you wont even be able to see from the top of the engine bay man. And i chose single for the old jdm big single type of powerband. And singles are better for power on the top end since its a street car. Also, twins arent that reliable on a stock motor because of the low end torque
@@vaaro_m Yeah I figured I would have to go ahead and rebuild the motor eventually for twins as from what I read online, VQs become unstable at 600-650
@@vaaro_m Alright I'll pay attention to that then. Turbo things are probably 5-6 years down the road anyway for me. I want to do body kit, bagged suspension, exhaust, and FBO before worrying about turbo stuff. Just getting research in now
@@Egnartz so the FBO stuff, most of it isn’t compatible with the turbo kits as they come with their own parts/intakes/ fueling. Really the only thing you can buy that wont go to waste is suspension and a axle back exhaust
Sohomotorsports Stage 2 Single Top Mount, and a Tomei Exhaust (axle back). The turbo kit comes with all the other piping (stock headers though, plenty for stock motor setup)
@@YSoAggressive i drive it around 4 times a week. Also have a g35 as my daily. And the drivability in the Z is amazing. Soho did an amazing job with the kit/tuning
Great car, sounds fantastic. I turbo converted an '04 350Z, blew the motor at 431hp, then got a custom fully forged bottom end, uprated clutch, breaks..everything but alas, I sold it because it kept overheating. At the time, I didn't know the garage that fit the new bottom end didn't replace the head gasket despite me providing a full gasket set. The new owner informed me. I would still have it. I was about to buy a boost controller and have the boost increased and would have aimed for roughly 650hp. They're really rare here in the UK (turbo'd Z's). I miss it. I am planning to get a 370 in the near future and boost that. Should work out cheaper than boosting a 350z because the stock engine is capable of 700hp I see regularly, so no uprating required unless aiming for more than that. Your Z makes me so much more eager. If anyone wants a look at my build log, it's on 350z-uk d0t c0m under "twin turbo 350z build" by user TT350Z (me). Can't give a direct link because of YT. Anyway, yeah, love the care mate. Sounds and goes so well.
yo this video so cool. while i was watching it looked very familiar. beacuse i live here. so its really cool seeing my dream car drive the streets ive been on. and i hope to be doing the same thing soon. ❤
Yup unopened stock long block. Have had it boosted for a year and a half, 10k miles while turbo’d. Only issues i have had been minor. Shorted out my fusible link holder, been through 2 Morimoto passenger lights, and i blow my downpipe gaskets twice a year 😂
@@vaaro_m shoot brotha I didn’t see u responded mine is 2014:( sadly , but I’m looking get a BP KIT , low boost nothing over 10 Psi since it’s my daily I’m just curious sick ride tho bro everything still solid ?
@@slows2k352 CD009 is only in certain 350z’s but the ones in the 370z are a very similar variation of it. Ill be going to a CD009 once i go built block. But my current trans can handle that too
Are you on stock transmission??? I'm planning on boosting mine but still wanna know the numbers if I'm going to push it with stock block and transmission:)))
@@louisuhhh_4546 yea i have the Soho Stage 2. Definitely go Stage 2 if you’re going to build the motor eventually. And Nik from Soho is an amazing tuner
@@vaaro_m so what you're trying to say is stage 1 is the way to go if I'm going to retain it stock block??? THANKS. Nik is really an absolute beast of a tuner!!!
Tomei Axleback. Everything from the Y-Pipe to the engine, is Soho motorsports piping that came with the Turbo kit. Oem Headers (they’re fine for stock motor, and even built motor)
Cant go wrong with that neither! Did a front housing swap on my turbo so it has a T51R mod now. Will try to make a video on it when i can. Might change your mind about going with a supercharger 😁
@@spiritualnat3 yessirr. this video didnt have it but i have the T51R mod now and its crazy. its just all noise, no performance gains but adds to the driving experience. 1300cc injectors is what i have, its perfect for stock motor boost applications
You got this 🤙 and it’ll be easier to get it done correct since a lot of shops now have experience with these setups so the aftermarket support is there
@@vaaro_m But the Nismo has better performance than the base model ? I'll have a look at how the new job pays me then i can decide but the V2 kit looks crazy
@@bendover2158 look into smart alarm systems. Gps tracking, shock and tilt sensors so even if they try towing the car or jacking it, the alarm goes off and notifies your phone like 20 times lol
