Having returned to the mainline just days earlier on a light test run from The Severn Valley Railway back to her home base at Crewe LSL. Thursday 2nd May saw 60532 Blue Peter out on the mainline for the second time, this time on a loaded test run, operated over LSL's usual circuit from Crewe to Shrewsbury running out via Chester and Wrexham, and returning via Oxley Jn & Stafford on the West Coast mainline.
In this short video we capture the locomotive at three locations. We kick things off at Crewe, where 60532 is capturing departing bound for Chester. Our second location takes us to the England and Welsh Border of Shrewsbury, where 60532 arrives to quite a crowd.
Our final shot takes us to Wellington, where the A2 is captured coasting through on a cautionary signal aspect (Yellow), the safety valve lifting just as she passes the camera.. Once again, with quite a crowd of onlookers watching.
I had intended to get a fourth shot of 60532 at Stafford during a 4 minute pathing stop, however it was never to be and this shot never happened, ah well one of those things I guess. lol
