It´s the earth! The earth is - in my opinion - a very important part of the song. The 6300 km is the radius of the earth, 23.4° is the earth´s tilt and the earth is the one that spins aímlessly and neverending. Even the title "Double Lariat" makes sense because a lariat spins when you use it and in this song Luka and the earth are spinning. It explains why she sings about spinning as a synonym for e.g. singing. If you notice the earth in this in this song you´ll see how important the earth is. To notice this was a really epiphany to me. 85 cm can you reach with your hand. But what is meant with 250 cm and 5200 cm? Anyway, a beautiful song (again) by (beautiful) Luka^^

I think this song is about Luka, who as many people in developed countries nowadays (especially Japan), grew up without parents who would be curious and empathetic towards her, and never have treated her as a separate, respectable person. She grows up without personal boundaries (the ever-expanding domain she tries to master through sheer effort), and vain because she was not loved. Children that were not genuinely loved retain the need for praise, status, achievement and attention, as substitutes for the love they are still missing (which they will never get in the form they needed, but have to grieve in therapy and move on). But as Luka tries more and more, she is recognizing that a larger-than-life career, a mansion, a big car, virtue signalling how compassionate she is for the world (you can hug the Earth when you have the arms 6300km long, = radius of the Earth) and how trying to be "the bestest" person on the planet is only making her more tired and empty. And she is pushing away anyone that would actually love her. As she sees the houses where familymen and familywomen live in great love and harmony, she recognizes the missing love, and she starts to learn how to retract the vanity, breached personal boundaries and psychological defences and coping mechanisms, and go back from pretending to have arms that can hug the Earth, to recognizing that she has only 85cm -- but REAL -- arms that can hold the people she loves in her home, and help those around her. I think the 'double lariat' is a metaphor for attachment and love that binds two people together. And it is also very interesting because the closer the two openings of the double lariat get, the larger they are (total string length being constant). The closer you are to the people you love (including yourself), the freer you are. The further apart you get, the more you are restricted and will to live is strangled out of you.
