Eye tracking while rushing to spawn camp was truly a display of high proficiency!!!! Knowing where you're looking while waiting for the spawn was riveting!!!! Well done!
just to be clear, my intention with going to that position in the first match is not to spawn camp. I go there because it has 100% map control over C and B, and I control the position to limit their team from exploiting our spawn. In this case, the enemy team didn't get past the caps, so I ended up shooting at whatever targets I saw. Blame Gaijin for making shitty maps, not me for taking up the most advantageous position on any given map.
Gaijin's map design and even gameplay design is certainly partly to blame, but exploiting those spots is still pretty lame. The tobii deal was rad to be fair.
A cool tip I learned from a vet (my dad) is that when scanning, look right to left. You have a higher chance of picking up something unnatural. Apparently its linked to how we read; as we read left to right, we have a tendency to scan left to right which increases the chances you'll miss something. Inversely, if you are from a country that reads right to left, you'd want to do the opposite and start scanning from left to right.
I have never seen someone get so many kills so quickly like that... Insane.. I don't even play ground because I just get sniped from across the map every time, by Players like you lol Also. 6.0 is literally mid-tier not low-tier :p
When you have uncontested view of the enemy spawn from across the map, that tends to happen. It's a trash map because of exploit spots like the one he's in.
@@JoviaI1until Gaijin comes out with a direct statement addressing individual locations on maps, and calling them an exploit, then it's not an exploit. just poor map design imo
@@ryanberry_ It's literally the definition of an exploit. You are exploiting overpowered spots on a map. Just as people exploit CAS in the early game by spawning a BT-7 and rushing a cap. I'm not hating on you for using it (even though intentional spawn killing is pretty scummy), I'm just explaining why it's so easy to get so many kills so quickly. Whether Gaijin comes out and says it's unintended isn't the point. And using poor map design as an excuse isn't the best defense. Just saying.
@@JoviaI1 "In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitch, or use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game's designers, in a way that gives a substantial unfair advantage to players using it." That is the definition. Not an exploit just poor map design. He is using the map as intended. What else do you want?
Honestly one of the easiest ways to show how to do good in ground RB. So much of the skill is situational awareness and being able to spot people before they spot you, so hard to describe that without showing eye tracking.
This is more helpful than a lot of beginner lectures that just tell you to stay alert... it seems clearer to me where to look for enemies, and where to aim
I definitely find the eye tracker interesting, and I don't think I've seen this kind of thing from other war thunder CCs. It's quite informative to see what you're looking at and when. Maybe it'll fill a niche for some people. Also I think the white that you had on stream works better, because it's less visible, so more subtle. Which is good for those who don't really like it. And those who do like it can just look a little harder if they want to see it (not that it's hard to see). Whereas the pink is quite harsh, I think. I'm assuming this was recorded before the stream where you changed it to white, I'm just sayin don't change it back to pink, basically.
i would love to see someone with the same amount of your ground experience in AirRB with an eye tracker at top tier. The sheer amount of camera movements as you attempt to dodge 2 AIM-54As, 3 AIM-9Ls and some odd PL-5s with supersonic jets zooming everywhere in a 3km radius must be insane to display on an eye-tracker.
I've been waiting for something like this for so long, I have trouble knowing where to look, so I looked and looked but couldn't find any RU-vidrs that did this, now I can see where another player looks, thanks so much.
You're the guy that always seems to be on the enemy team for me lol. I'm really new to tanks, but given I've researched all of America's air tree, and after watching Phly play tank videos, I've been putting time into trying to learn tank gameplay and strats. How you saw half of those people, idk. I'm always getting taken out by someone I don't see. That, or I'll sit and wait for awhile, decide to move, only for someone to then appear where I was looking and then kill me anyway 😂
@snikrepak Thanks, it's painful 😂. I've been learning that if I think I can make a dash for a position at the start of a match, I can't lol. Been the first to die a few times from that
This is fascinating, hope all your content uses this going forward, it’s nice seeing your perspective more than just what’s on your screen while you’re playing! Really helpful as well as feeling more engaging.
I tried getting other wt content creators to do this as well but it after all these years it doesn't seem to have gone through. Makes me even happier that you did this, its always super interesting to try to understand what good players actually look at :D
I got super excited when Tobii announced that it's now compatible with their eye trackers. I think the best usecase is for heli players as you can look around and steer independently. It's not exactly like a VR headset setup, but definitely a budget friendly option.
Hello high skill player! It's nice to see that someone can play good and make viws on it in our game! Good luck! And also I get pleasure when hear your battle analysis) I hear how you making decisions - smthing like that appears in my head when I play) Thousands of hours of playing make our analytics a bit same) and it's very fun😁
I use head tracking for aircraft, but I found it to be disadvantageous for ground vehicles. The reason is the pivot point of the camera while head tracking. The pivot point is set back where the camera is located, whereas it is normally centered over the tank commander when using keybinds to look around. That stops you from being able to peek around corners while in third person, as players using keybinds do.
oh yeah for sure, I can't really see myself using the eye tracker for actual head tracking/camera movement in tanks. it's just much faster to use the keyboard like normal
I've got about 1300 hours in WT myself, mostly ground RB. This is like the controller maps that speedrunners use for me. It's real interesting seeing your process!
Hello, i am new to the game i started playing few days ago and now i have around 100 games in realistic. Your videos are really great and i am learning a lot, but it will take a lot of time to learn maps like you do, thank you for your content ❤️
I am glad to see a War Thunder RU-vidr get so many views we need more content on this game other than promoted garbage. Hope this video got you more subs, great idea and gameplay. Got some good pointers from this as well as where I am suppose to be looking and ways to play the game.
Yesterday night I was thinking what if a RU-vidr live warthunder with eye racking. AND I see ur video today. I think eye traking is useful I can see where u are looking at and find out how u spot the enemys. I like this . Subscribed🤩🤩🤩
oh fuck yeah i wanna see more of this its really interesting how fast your scanning locks on to tiny dots in the distance also if possible i would love to see more maps where you can spot campers in the foliage
its kinda entertaining for a veteran to having my eyes mostly following your eye-tracker kinda half a second before the eye-tracker lag shows on screen, for the most part anyway
sheesh your voice is... nice, to say the least. me listening to this at work not really knowing whats happening or watching a whole cuz im new to this game but totally invested in the... gameplay, yeah...
Honestly there have been times where I've been watching other content creators and always wondered how they saw opponents. Your eye tracking feature really helped me see the night and day difference of where I get tunnel vision.
now this, THIS is what the noobs need to see. honest to god i reckon if youtubers did more in depth guides on how to play GRB then lots more people would be better at the game (In depth meaning instead of just pointing out things you can do, they also give examples of when and how to use these things and provide footage with a breakdown. unfortunately from most guides i watched they barely did any of this so i was dogwater for most of my hours :/)
New fear unlocked. Being in a game with this guy. Friendly- he kills the entire enemy team. Enemy- well he showed what he does to people on the opposite team
I would love to do this sometime and show my friends who don't play. They're always wondering how the hell I spot things. But to me it's literally second nature now
I REALLY love these types of videos pls do a series like this at least once a week! i would always watch it. i like seeing how a pro like you plays and watching your playstyle teaches me alot, btw, ryan ive been asking for you to play the raketenautomat since it was released... pls
How are you so good? What is even this gameplay? It's like watching a professional hunter getting some lemmings. 6k hours, I can tell 😅 dam amazing game play with the eye tracker. I love it.
@@ryanberry_ kind of mixed answers from a variety of people concerning the monitors above 30". Guess I'll have to MacGyver that thing to work by putting it at the correct distance from my face or something like that.
I play War Thunder in a really fucked way, i stare at the center of the screen unknowingly, and just spot stuff by noticing it in my peripheral vision, like "stuff moving in the corner of my eye" type stuff, sorta works out.
5:12 "The reload on this thing is so slow sometimes..." Me, with italy main.. average 8 seconds reload, with 16 seconds reload without a gunner.... (spaded loader reload speed) Also me, with Otomatic requiring almost 20 seconds to replenish a single god damn round in the autoloader....
Its really weird. First video of yours that I've seen, but I have played WAY too much war thunder, and my brain works just like yours. My eyes went where yours did, with only a few differences. Your basic strategy is more classic, but I still think it's weird :P
Loved the video, eyetracker is really interesting. Now I've been playing since 2013 and was wondering how to get that sight with the circle in the middle? Also I've never seen/used that suspension/track adjusting.
