625 - LIVE! Shiny Lickitung hatches in Emerald Version after 15,276 eggs!! 

I rarely comment on these videos and I'm ashamed I don't do it more. But lemme just say Matt, my gosh, your will to keep going consistently with a hunt reaching this high inspires me a ton! I have a more severe case of ADHD myself, so consistently working on more long term goals like shiny hunting can be real tough. Most days I don't even pick up a device cause I'm so hyperfixated on another interest. But when I sit down and watch these shiny hunting videos, it inspires me so much to pick up my 2DS and continue on with whatever hunt I'm doing! Thank you, and a lot of other shiny hunting veterans for getting me into this great hobby! Who knows, maybe one day when I get everything needed, I'll be able to do my own crazy hunts. Like that Coliseum bonus disc Jirachi! But that's gonna be a loooong ways ahead in the future! For now, I need to focus on staying consistent with random encounter hunts! XD

Dude...I saw the hatches and literally cringed - huge props for going this deep for a full odds egg hatching, that's one hunt I am horrified at the thought of (with the exception of doing Manaphy some day), but its amazing to see! Keep it up I love watching your vids

Fun story, I had encountered a shiny Lickitung in the battle factory in Emerald years ago as a kid. I thought it was the coolest thing ever to have had happen.

It's funny, I know for a fact that I was there when you got the shiny Lickitung, I remember that moment & was wondering why it was I did not remember that conversation happening, that is until it got close to when it hatched, I know exactly why I didn't recognize it. Hi, I'm Bubblegum_Dragonite, I came into the chat just before Matt mentioned that he hadn't updated the VIP board with my name & I was typing in the chat something along the lines of, "someone say my name?" & then, he got the shiny so I immediately started flipping out. That was like the best moment to walk into a stream on.

My first ever shiny Pokémon was a Paras. The second was a Tangela because I needed to evolve my Pidgeoto into a Pidgeot. The first shiny I ever encountered was a Battle Tower NPC's shiny Meowth in Leaf Green. The first one I caught on a friend's game was ironically Zubat in his copy of Diamond before me and my brother got our own.
