That Motorola walkie talkie is really a good performer. I once got 12 miles between two, now very old, Motorola t6222 radios and thought that really good but 62km on 0.5 Watts is amazing. Thanks for the video.
Very nice. Impressed, nice location. I like Bristol. Been there, stay somewhere, did the tourist things, the Boat yard. Ship. Another time a day activity doing underground river on a blow up kayak. Another time some tunnel as well. Area has it's playlist. Really should take the PMR radio on holiday, nice point, see what I get. Mine looking a bit old and sad now. on profile linked in banner photo or "about". Height is might. Guess you Bristol way.
That was excellent on 0.5w just shows good take off point just shows what these can achieve plus Motorola is an excellent performer would have been interesting to see how the rt 24 would have performed on level par.
Hiya, I've got leixen 25 watts walkie talkie s, got my friend on the other one, in the twin pack we bought, gives up after about 4/5 miles , so to to get that far on.5 is fantastic, well-done great videos , subscribe d
No reason why not. They’re both analogue PMR446 radios so as long as they are programmed to the same privacy tones (Kenwood call these QT and DQT) they’ll be fine.
You don’t. This is a PMR, meaning it’s a private radio. You buy two and talk to your friend a few km away. He got a good range because of certain ideal conditions that one can’t just simply recreate on a whim. You could end up talking to people who happen on your channel (frequency) but what you probably have in mind is CB radio or even more likely ham radios. And for those you need a license.
Remember here that one side has a decent antenna and proper mobile setup so it’s not handheld to handheld. The last handheld test was this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qnP7erTvaD0.html
