Im glad you cleared up some of the ambiguity concerning the stickers. I wasn't sure if they had added the holographic sticker, or if it had replaced og.

Compared to trio?
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 10 месяцев назад
Volur is sort of like if Trio was a bit more reserved. Volur sounds more natural, and it doesn't have the same sort of excitement and energy of Trio - though the m20 module gets the bass a bit closer to Trio. I think most of the comparisons between U12t and Trio would be true of Volur as well, though Volur with the m15 modules has a little less bass quantity than either, and the dynamic driver improvements some aspects of the bass impact and texture from U12t.

What do you think compared to Astell&Kern and Campfire Audio Pathfinder? I enjoyed the Pathfinder's detailed resolution, imaging, and soundstage (both verticle and horizontal). The bass, vocal, and highs are nice, except for the occasional hiss.

@tommylu2412 4 месяца назад
I owned andromeda and solaris and noticed the same hissing issue you mentioned. So far with my limited experience with 64 audio (U4S) I've yet to experience that problem. I've also tried on Vulor and its surely lovely the bass is just quite crisp and resolution is quite decent. The only reason that stops me from being proud owner is the price tag

For rock/metal would you recommend Trio over this ? (Looking for a fun-first IEM (but still with nice techs ofc (at this price it better have lol))
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 10 месяцев назад
Yeah, for rock/metal if you haven't tried anything from FiR, I'd recommend checking out the Neon4 - which is similar to Trio in a lot of ways. Trio would probably be my pick for a 64 Audio in this range specifically for rock/metal.

Any chance of a proper Nio/Volur comparison? I doubt I’m the only one who is interested in if it’s worth upgrading. And I’d assume there will be quite a few wondering if the Volur is worth an extra $800. Doesn’t sound like the Volur is a Nio MKII however their target markets are pretty much the same. I would be particularly interested in differences with imaging especially depth.
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 10 месяцев назад
Hey, so I don't have a Nio demo available, so I can only give you a comparison based on my own recollection of Nio. Volur definitely has the advantage in terms of three dimensionality and imaging, but there's definitely significantly less midbass with Volur. The bass quality is similar, but I'd say that Volur with the m20 module is slightly less bass quantity overall than Nio with m15 module - but then the m20 brings the soundstage in a little bit. So basically - I'd give Volur the edge in terms of imaging, soundstage, and "technical" elements, and Nio the edge if you're looking for a more elevated bass quantity while still maintaining a pretty impressive overall level of detail.

@@BloomAudio Oh well, was hoping that clip with the two together wasn’t stock or some such. But that “from memory” comparison was helpful so thanks for that. I appreciate that you’d take the time to answer questions you don’t really have proper answers for.

How does it compare to Visio Ears EXT in your opinion? I just got the Volür and very happy but also tried the EXT some time ago. Loved it but it was a bit large for my ears - somehow I think they might be quite similar. I know you really like the EXT so am quite interested in your opinion. Thanks 🙏

Hi, I'm looking a set with great soundstage and imaging, very accruate placements, well tuned treble and doesn't sound congested on busy tracks. I got three candidates which are the Canpur Cp622b, FiR RN6 and the 64Audio Volur, which one of these do you recommend? thanks!
@dbean5174
@dbean5174 3 месяца назад
I’d probably go for the Volur. It’s the cheapest of the bunch but has the most choices in terms of different sounds. If you find that you don’t really care for that then I would choose the Canpur 622B. I’ve heard that set is amazing as the bone conduction doesn’t always necessarily occur and can image and sound detailed and technical when needed. The RN6 isn’t bad as I’ve heard its bass response is quite awesome but I just find the Frequency Response to look way too bloated in the lower mids. It will probably sound congested. I have the Mest Mk2 which I love and it graphs very similar to the CP622B which HBB has as his no.1 (just like he used to have Mest Mk2 at no.1 :) ) I’d say CP622B for one and done or Volur for a bit of change if you decide with the apex modules.

@@dbean5174 thanks for the reply man, since this comment last time I already got volur and cp622b in my collection plus the MA alter ego. Im in love with all three they are all very good in their own ways. Canpur bone conduction works wonders in mid range, its separation is top notch, and timbre is among the most natural IEMs I’ve ever heard! HBB surely isn’t recommending this for no reason! I’ve never heard of the MEST Mk.2 but I heard good things about it being brighter set with great techs and tuning, definitely gonna try it next time when I have the chance. I’m deciding between RN6 and Feiwan now as a compliment, I heard many good things about RN6 bass being the best in the biz
@dbean5174
@dbean5174 3 месяца назад
@@wangmingchu1379yes bro you should definitely try the Mest Mk2. It is probably like a baby CP622B. Under $1,000, it is probably the best set IMO. In terms of the Fei Wan or RN6, it is a hard choice there. The RN6 has that special sauce whereas the Fei Wan is basically great at everything. I would personally pick the Fei Wan as your IEM collection needs something more normal if that makes sense 😅. Perhaps you could venture into other IEMs with a more vocal centric tuning. Or maybe since you like a more u shaped presentation, something like the Multiverse Mentor from Unique Melody would be nice.

@wangmingchu1379 3 месяца назад
@@dbean5174 yes I have also heard of the UM MM being one of the best in terms of techs! yeah I'm just very curious about the kinect bass FiR offers, dont know if its just a marketing thing or something truly special. Fei Wan on the other hand yes like you mentioned is probably a great all rounder but I just don't see alot of good reviews about it lol

Volür or XE6 in terms of technicality and bass response is Xenon 6 worth the $3900 over Volür?
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 4 месяца назад
Xenon 6 bass is on a completely different level than Volur. Volur has great deep subbass and a solid physical kick. XE6 has probably the most universally massive, physical - and still natural feeling - bass responses that I've heard in an IEM. XE6 has strong technical aspects and speed, but they can feel somewhat overshadowed, while Volur is a little more balanced for most genres.

Compared to rn6?
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 10 месяцев назад
A lot of the comparison with the Neon4 would be similar to notes between Radon6 and Volur, but Radon6 has stronger detail, a bigger soundstage, and better executed treble than Neon - so where the difference between Volur and Neon is that Volur has a technical edge, but they're close enough that tuning preference would outweigh the technical details, the difference between Volur And Radon would largely be down to whether you prefer the bigger more physical bass from FiR, or the more neutral sound of Volur with some stronger vocal presentation characteristics.

With all the great Chifi iems of late is this worth the hefty pricetag??
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 6 месяцев назад
There are obviously a lot of factors that go into any IEM purchase, and price is a big part of that. To my ears, Volur is better than anything I've heard under $2k. Now there are some amazing IEMs out there that might be 90% as good at Volur at 50% of the price, but even with the best of Chifi, I don't think you're getting the same level of quality.

Compared to Raven? Is Volür a better option?
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 10 месяцев назад
Raven is definitely better overall from a technical perspective. The tunings aren't far off, but Raven's imaging and soundstage are a step up. However, if you like a slightly more relaxed sound - but not too relaxed - and are concerned about the fit/size, Volur might have the edge.

Compared to fourte? 😅
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 10 месяцев назад
Honestly, it's been so long since I've heard the original Fourte, I can't make an honest comparison here at this point. Compared to Fourte Blanc, Volur has a little less midbass, more midbass and a more definition and extension in the treble, but Fourte Blanc has more upper mids and a more obviously forward vocal presentation. Fourte Blanc has some similarities with the Trio, but I find Fourte Blanc to be a little more natural and organic while Trio is a little more engaging.

Flagship IEMs are already absurdly over-priced, reflecting more what people are willing to pay rather than performance actually delivered. Wow!! Two stickers!!! Lol.

Compared to u18s
@BloomAudio
@BloomAudio 23 дня назад
U18s probably wins in soundstage and separation, but Volür hits harder in the sub-bass and has a little bit more sparkle than U18s. U18s is definitely a little weak in the upper extension, where Volür is strong, but on the flipside, if you're very treble sensitive, you might find Volür a little harsh.
