I am trying these for the first time. I decided to mix in water holding gel beads. They should keep the soil moist long enough to maybe only do a daily watering. Before I added the potting soil, I put a small concentration of the beads at the bottom of the pockets. So, we will see.
It got to warm here and fried them. I need to hook up irrigation for them so they don't dry out. I'm sure some herbs that don't like a lot of water would do pretty well in it.

I got them off Amazon. But if you Google search Wall planters you should be able to find them. one thing to know about the one that has the 64 pockets it dries out really quick unless it's kind of in a shady area. At least in the Texas summer. The bigger pocket ones seem to hold on to the water better more soil.
