If anyone is watching this is new to going to the gym don’t let ego get you. Start with weights you are comfortable with but still give you a bit of a struggle then work your way up. You are not trying to beat the person next to you lifting more or less, you are trying to beat yourself.

Was gonna say the same thing - this video is almost a perfect example of why you should use safeties when squatting. Yeah you can drop the weight behind you, but that's not always possible if you start falling too far forward (like the guy in this video), and there is always the risk of the heavy barbell landing on someone's foot.

he absolutely shouldn't repeat that fail and also that execise is not a real good one but if he wants to, he should first learn how to fall from there before trying go high otherwise he could get himself a real injury to call his own... i saw people get injuried falling from lower places but also people falling properly from higher places (nice parkour people) and not even getting hurt at all... the 3:53 however was doing absolutely right, he was on the path to advance and succeed but without serious injuries

100 percent correct. After shoulder surgery (tendons etc) it's game over forever. I had a latissimus dorsi tendon transfer last year due to a fall, recovered but the power is all gone.

This happened to my father. He held 26 kgs in each hand somehow, he managed to hold them up, while I just took them from his hands. It happened in a "no throwing weights" gym, so he just followed to rules, what a legend.😆

He'd be safe, I think. The weights are big enough that the bar wouldn't touch his head, that's intended design. That weight on his back wouldn't feel too god but I doubt it'd lead to serious injury.

that 3:53 guy did absolutely right, a protector for the arms, seems like chest too, no barrettes on the bar so he could incline to one side exactly to drop the weight plates and the same on the other side, he was probably in the process of progressing to that load and seems to know very well what he's doing

That fall from the rings @ 0:30 brings back memories. I hit the mat flat on my back. Knocked the wind out of me & I lay there trying to remember how to breathe before I died. Seemed like forever, but was probably less than 30 seconds. That was more than 60 years ago and I still can feel the impact.

They’re trying to do too much. You’d be surprised by the physique you could build with simple exercises. Bench press, squat, standard deadlift, rows, pull-ups and overhead press. You don’t even have to lift extremely heavy. My rule of thumb is too keep the weight heavy enough to do 8 reps max. You do these exercises twice a week and 25 min of cardio three times a week and you’d be in better shape than 95% of people.

@@aderinsayoadedeji167 ye obviously, that's why it is called cardio, because of the cardiovaskular system. But his comment was about the shape/physique of someone, and not about his cardiac health or stamina/endurance. I wouldn't recommend 3x cardio a week, if i wanted to build as much muscles as i could. Maybe 1x, if even.

@@HitHeilerDerHohnEinerSure Cardio is probably most important for long term health, especially heart health. Don’t skip it. 35 min of lifting and 25 min of cardio. Gym should take no more than 1:15 min, 3-4 times a week for the average person. Most of us aren’t professional athletes, powerlifters, or bodybuilders so I don’t see the need to spend any longer.

@@derkburke well if you only spend 35min for lifting, you don't need to wonder about your muscles not growing. Same goes for 3-4x cardio per week. From a hypertrophic/bodybuilding standpoint of, your advises are bad. You won't get massive if you'd behave like that.
