You looked lonely out there without Melissa. Hope she recovers quickly. Working with a partner is very much safer than being out there on your own. Working in the winter is so much better than in the summer. Work activity keeps you warm and no annoying insects. 🦀

Trust! Mike, I wouldn't want this style all the time, but just you and the camera and no narration worked well for this type of video. Not sure if you did this deliberately, but it worked and gave a great sense for what a guy needs to do with limited day light, just get at it. Well done!

Mike, that may have been your best video ever. You had all the parts of your woodcutting passion, a little music, day into night action....wow you nailed it. Now all you need to do is develop a conveyor system to catch the wood so it doesn't go into a pile...you know, so it goes right into the totes. LOL have a great Christmas and make sure we get our gift...more Outdoorgan's videos.

Hey Mike, I know you put a lot of time and hard work into your trails and driveway. Have you ever looked into purchasing some type of dolly device to hook up to your tractors and prevent the saw logs from digging into the ground as you bring them back to your log splitter? I was a Union pipefitter for over 20 years and when we were working with large bore pipes we used a dolly device called a “Grasshopper “. Do your research I certain you could find this tool and incorporate it into your operation. By the way, I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! I’ve become obsessed with watching your videos lately!! Keep up the great work!! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!!

Your wood roads and elevation look very similar to mine. I am constantly trying to be sensitive to the amount of "disturbance" in my woods when dragging out blowdowns and firewood logs. The Wallenstein looks like just the ticket for my woods as well. I'll be saving up for one starting now! I have a great chipper/shredder you might like. It's a Woodland Mills W68 and will take a 6" log on my 38 HP tractor. Makes nice chips that I spread all over my wood trails for my tractor and horses. Great machine and I can highly recc. the company. Keep up the good work!

When we first started picking up leaves on our property, I worked until it was dark and then came home. In order to see I took a chain link fence top rail and attached two 300 watt flood lamps to the top (pre-LED days), then put a 2" pipe into the ground so that it was flush with grade. I would then be able to slide the 20' pole into the pipe and work in that area until my leave were picked up. I put a number of these 2" pipes into the ground and just moved the light pole around to work on the next area. Great video Mike, thumbs up.

I just put a set of logging chains on my kubota. You will definitely feel more secure with the chains. I didn't go with the diggers on the cross links as they look like they could damage stuff. Also did front chains and would buy them again. I'm impressed where I can go without worrying about getting stuck. Looking forward to dragging in the snow, mud is getting old. I needed rear spacers to clear the fenders which is a added cost. Love the lights.

A video with no talking 🤔 Awesome. There's a peace being outside after the snow flies. Its like the snow absorbes all the background noise, minus the tractor and chainsaw lol. This idea might be more trouble than its worth but what about making kindling bundles out of the treetops that are left over. Hope you and your family are well. God bless.

I have to get use to working without sun shine alot. Very little of it here in AK... Of course the lights on my tractor decided to stop working... Seeing that skidding winch is making me want one now! Thousands of trees down behind my cabin that I simply can not get the tractor to and going back to the four wheeler seems impossible now that I've got the tractors...

I keep the cable at top of skidder then lift the logs higher at the plate then chain them . Less drag on the ground . Also try too keep the chokers close too the cut end . Better when skidding the logs . I skid as many logs as I can at once out close too the splitter for cutting . . I find it saves a lot of handling and time . Like the idea of night splitting . No cold wind . Usally calms down nice in the evening 👍

The one thing you don't have is a chipper. We bought the Woodland Mills chipper (best value on the market and made like a tank). You could chip up the underbrush and use it on your trails. It could redeuce the muddy areas for better traction especially on the many hills that you drive on.
