You go the Cell and Buu analogues the wrong way round. Chaos is more like Buu, since they were both sealed somewhere on Earth, and aren't/weren't always evil. Mephiles is more like Cell, since they are both seeking to absorb another character/s in order to become complete. Also, Black Doom = Frieza, and Eggman = Dr. Gero.
Sry to reply late. Mephiles didn't absorb, he fused into Iblis of what he was which was Solaris. Mephiles and Iblis were separated. Iblis was sealed within Elise and Mephiles tried to make Elise cry so he and Iblis can become whole once again. Just wanna point that out. Chaos wasn't really sealed on earth. He was sealed by Tikal in other world and Eggman happened to find Chaos on Earth. You could say Dr. Gero and eggman are similar only difference is that Eggman is sonic's main villian.
I think gerald robotnik and dr. Gero are very similar. They both made android 19 and biolizard and are definitely hungry for revenge. Also, both 19 and biolizard both got killed by vegeta and shadow.
I would say Mephiles is mostly like Goku Black: Comes from future, looks almost identical to one of the heroes, can changes forms (only one seen), combines to become a stronger being.
There is a Problem with Majin Buu, Dabura und Janemba: For People who don't know the storyline of Sonic 2006 characters like Mephiles might seem fitting for majin buu, because they are both pure rage/darkness incarnate (well Mephiles is not exactly but whatever) and Majin Buu absorbs other characters and Mephiles copied Shadow's appearance after seeing him (Shadow was the first being he saw after being reborn) which is kind of similar and Solaris might seem fitting for Janemba because they are both very strong villains but if you knew the Story that would me make Things a whole lot different. Mephiles, Iblis and Solaris are no separate characters. Solaris was split into Mephiles (the mind) and Iblis (the power). Mephiles now tried to unite himself again with Iblis to reform his original Version, Solaris. Similar Things did never happen to Majin Buu, Dabura and Janemba. These are three distinct characters, but, if you know the storyline of Sonic 2006, you know that their "Counterparts", Mephiles, Iblis and Solaris, are not.

There is a difference between villain wanting to kill everyone and villain wants to defeat main character. These android team were asking where goku was, which means they want to defeat main character. They also told his friends not to get in their way.
Also, you could compare Amy and Bulma because they were both the first female character introduced in the series, are the most recurring females, and have somewhat similar personalities (note somewhat)

You know whats funny about this video? It's hypocritical. Some people complain Sonic has copied the Dragon Ball series, but there are only three things that are similar to Dragon Ball: Chaos Emeralds, Super form, and Silver. But the better word for that would be inspired. And because of that, some people treat Sonic like he's a copycat. And whats hypocritical about this video is that Dragon Ball has done the same thing. Not to Sonic, but other franchises. Even the Dragon Balls were inspired as well.
Macandbloo11 Exactly, dragon ball also was inspired from many things, and even though there are many similarities (which some were totally wrong ex trunks hair being white and some non canon things like majin Vegeta being android shadow or something I’m pretty sure that’s not canon) you can’t really say they are copying each other in story. Goku wants to be the very best fighter while sonic is just going to try and make sure egg man doesn’t end the world. (which he failed in sonic forces but still defeats him) These are very different story’s being told and aren’t really alike. Also, the art style is WAY different like dragon ball is more serious while sonic is just for kids so that drastically changes their art styles making all the humans in Dbz look... human, and sonic looking more cartoon like. So I agree with you that dragon ball and sonic were inspired from each other but they still have differences which make them unique.

i know this video old asf, but Dark Sonic wasnt made from anger; it just so happened to be that he was angry when he transformed. The transformation is from the dark/fake Chaos Emeralds and isnt quite as powerful as regular Super Sonic.

You missed a few things. Knuckles and piccolo are similar because they use to be rivals of sonic/goku and for a while you could consider them evil characters (they also kept up with sonic and goku pretty well for a while)
