A review of the On Cloudsurfer running shoe after 650km (404 miles) of marathon training. #running #shoereviews #shoetuber #onrunning #cloudsurfer #marathontraining
Thanks for your comment! That now sounds like a list of shoes I need to try! :) I used to love the Boston line up until the 10 (which I hated) but the 12 is getting quite a bit of love so maybe I should take another look!

I've owned a few On shoes and in particular also enjoy the Surfer lines. On the squeek issue. This has always been prevelent in wet (mildly wet to extremely wet) conditions and believe me the issue does not go away. I have a pair of Surfer's (the model with the speed board) with over 500miles and and yes it squeeks when wet. Having said that, I love the shoe but now only wear them when I know the ground is dry.
Good point. I should have done that. The new ones definitely had more bounce. Once I put those on I could tell how used the old ones felt. They definitely felt dead compared to the new ones!
Are you having squeak issues with your new pair? It’s the only thing putting me off buying another pair, I’ve clocked up over 1000km in mine, and they still have some life left in them. Great shoes, apart from the squeak!
It seems ON will release a Cloud Surfer Next this year ( probably around water day in march) . I saw it really fast in the Running Event, and it seems that it will have that "torsion system " in X shape that is available on the Cloud Eclipse ! I love these shoes because they are fun to run in, reasonably light, very breathable, and super stable with the X plate thing. Can't wait to see and try this new Cloud Surfer Next that should be less heavy and more soft them the Eclipse.
@global-runner that I don't know. We will have to wait to see. But I think it will be a replacement since the speed board in X shape is to prevent the middlesole from twisting too much laterally, and in the end, it also improves the stability. Same as the X in the Cloud Eclipse and not necessarily to make the shoes for people with any major stability needs. I did not have the Cloud Surfer, but I heard it could be a bit unstable in the heel of the runner did not have a perfect fourth and neutral foot strike.
