Necrothorns is a great and also rare photographer in Black Metal scene I know him from my ig acc from long time ago \m/ hails you two friends and great conversation
With due respect to the photographer and Wraath, there was no actual risk involved. I'm born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, having dealt with various Middle Eastern and North African mentalities, including Moroccans, Algerians, Tunisians, Palestinians, Syrians, Iraqis, etc. I understand their thinking and what people expect of them. The woman in the headscarf wasn't afraid; she probably thought the guy was mentally ill. When Inquisition played live in Cairo, locals took photos with them, thinking they were WWE wrestlers. I dislike the idea of portraying themselves as heroes for wearing makeup and spikes. If you want to see heroism, look at what's happening in Gaza. That's where the real heroes are. Pretending to be a hero without following your beliefs is hypocrisy. The photo, artistically, is fucking cool, but to convey a meaningful message it needs to be better than that, like Varg for example. I don't support church arson but at least he acted on his beliefs. And to the photographer, If they truly sought peace, they shouldn't have invaded Palestine from the first place. I'm not sure where you're from, but if God's chosen people had selected your land instead of Palestine, I believe you would have a completely different opinion ;)
I have seen girls taking pictures in mini skirts in Via Dolorosa, which probably was still more “dangerous”. Also, of course people looked at them as weirdos, would have the same reaction in downtown Munich, it’s just not the usual to see for most people. Also, quite interesting that while citizens were actually at real danger, many dying a few hours after the photo shoot, this guy makes it about himself and how he was the one actually at risk… oh well, luckily more people are realizing how pathetic the whole circus was.
