This is an introduction of our new RU-vid channel where we will document from start to finish the restoration of our 1967 Pontiac Firebird. We have utilized the knowledge of a handful of other restoration channels to help us and other first timers get a game plan and start moving forward with the rebuild of our car.
Special Thanks To:
‪@VinylVillageGarage‬
‪@ArrowheadGarage‬
‪@firstgenerationgarage2803‬
‪@shaggyscarshop‬

These are the channels will be utilizing throughout our rebuild and will be referencing them in our videos to help other first timers have a quick reference without having to spend a lot of time searching for content.

First car I ever did was a 69 gto convertible that was almost in 2 pieces lol in a one car garage in 1981 there were almost no aftermarket parts then I live in Ontario Canada sos big time rust , but got it done and drove it for years . Have fun guys and will be watching your journey!

That is quite the accomplishment on your GTO. We would have never taken on a project like this without having access to aftermarket parts and RU-vid. We appreciate your comment and hope you enjoy the journey.✌️

Nicely done! I am in the throes of a '67 Camaro resto- mine was actually in worse shape as far as sheetmetal goes.I have learned a lot from the same channels you mentioned, and wish I had found them before I started. I am curious about the panels that are below the rear seat base- they don't look familiar to me. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the build!

I’m thinking your talking about the traction bar bracket? If you go to Firebird Central and search traction bar you’ll see what I mean. Let me know if this is what your looking for. We’ve had our car for about 2 yrs now and after a lot of research are just getting going. We appreciate you watching.

@@JK_Nex_Garage I am referring to the plate in the view at 3:10 in this video. I have never seen them, but having only been around 67,68, and 69 Camaros, maybe it is something exclusive to the Firebirds? In any case, I'll check out Firebird Central for verification. Thanks!

Your welcome, I am really only familiar with the 67’ Firebird because that is what have. I really haven’t done much cross referencing to Camaros, but maybe I should.👍

I wonder if he is getting a Pontiac 400 V-8 engine and a manual transmission?
@JK_Nex_Garage
@JK_Nex_Garage Год назад
Not sure yet. May go from the column shift automatic to a console auto, but I do miss the manual transmission. Haven’t had one of those in many years. We have a lot of work ahead of us and plenty of time to figure that out before purchasing. Thanks for watching.👍

Just have one question. How did you get over the apprehension about making a mistake on a classic muscle car?
@JK_Nex_Garage
@JK_Nex_Garage 3 месяца назад
We always knew we want a classic muscle car (after having a ‘68 GTO when we were younger), the only apprehension was how much restoration did we want to get into. Having never done this before, it was a little intimidating making that decision. After getting into this car now we made the right choice going basically ground up. There are so many areas you can’t see when the car is all together. At the end we will know we have a solid car and if there’s any issues, it’s on us (hope not). Hopefully this answers your question. Thank you for watching and for the comment.✌️
