thanks for this video buddy ! i just install this set up on my 65 bug and it those the job perfect ! i know is slower that air bags but for me is perfect !
Sorry everyone for the delay. I didnt get a notofication there were questions Eddie, Im not using an air tank. Im using an Airlift kit # 25804- It works great Rick, as long as the front shock towers on your '69 are the same as my '67, they will work. But you want them for the rear. Swing Axle -vs- IRS- Not sure if they will work Chris, the ride is the same as the stock ride. I did not need to change the beam, I kept the stock beam Mammys1, I did not remove the torsion bars
Brilliant setup and vid 👏👏 I’m trynna find MA793 but seems discontinued? It’s 8-5-21 today. Do you remember which other MA models also have the smaller diameter to avoid control arm grinding? Or which site has shock diameter info? I have the same setup and needs as you solved here - drop spindles and just a little extra lift for rubbing (with passengers). And BRUH that paint job is rustoleum? Like out the can? 🤯🔥🔥🔥
Thanks. They are fake arm and leg that I got from a costume shop that I put magnets on, so it looks like someone was stuck in the trunk. I seen several Bugs at shows with those props and gave it a try
Thank you for helpful video - can I ask what the quality of the ride is like compared to a standard set-up? Did you just need new shocks and air-ride kit, was the beam changed to an adjustable type etc.?
You used Monroe MA793 air shocks, can I use the same shock on my 69 Beetle? I like it because, as with you I am looking to get more lift. I need these to fit on the rear. Thanks Sully

Hello sir, Liked the video - im curious to know - what did you do with the rods in your front beam? I guess they cannot be under tension, to travel that much or? Do you have stock spindles on?
And, the shrader valve, is that built in, in the compressor? Or do you have that on the side? Would be awesome to just see a quick paint or hand drawing of hardline and wiring setup - just really basic.
Hello Guys, I have a doubt. Can I use the schokers absorbers rear and front? Could you send me a Part number for Beetle 1974? I'm from Brazil. I would like install to Brazillian Karman Guia TC.
Thanks! Actually, I didn't spend that much. I did everything myself in the garage. I painted it myself with Rustoleum. Google Rustoleum paint job and you'll be shocked how cheap it costs to do
hey +fairfield1987 i have the gabriel air shocks that have some push in fitting with 2 o-rings on them. Was wondering if the kit would be able to retro fit onto the ones i have on the rear of my truck? They are plastic slip in types with a screw that goes over them.
@@NarrowRoadTraveler365 thanks .. it came with 1/4 from compressor and 1/8 from the shocks ...I work at a shop so I ended up making a custom t fitting that was dual 1/8 to 1/4 .... Literally got it finished like 2 weeks ago 😂
73 beetle I'm trying ma803 on rear don't know if same as regular shocks size yet,,I'm trying to find a video that shows me, I saw one didn't tell size waiting on response
Rafael WebPrint Not as good as the stock set up, but pretty descent still. A little bumpy but I'm not sure if the shocks or dropped spindles caused that
