68' Chevrolet Impala sound 

I was 19 years-young in 1968, and as a life long Chevy man I have one word: NICE!! Everyone in my family has owned an Impala at some point in their life.😁

Beautiful car. Had one. If you weren't paying attention, you'd be doing 130 down the interstate thinking you were still at 75. Soooooo smooth.

I had a '69 back in '94. The muffler guy told me the sound the glass pack mufflers make is called a 'mellow rumble'!

Had one of these in '73. Multiple trips Chicago to Fort Lauderdale. Loved that car, but it never looked or sounded this good!

Now that’s a sweet ride Holmes . You got a great eye and the car is perfect right height rims with the all chrome finish and a good tone on the exhaust not too annoying but nice . Take care of her will last forever .

My old man has that same car. Bright blue, 4 speed, 454 block with four wheel disc brakes.

Mine was exactly like that. I was 16 in 1968, life was good.

First car I owned was a 68 impala. Had a 327 with a quadra jet carb. Put a cherry bomb muffler on it and it had the best sound ever. Got the policeman's attention too. Back then a speeding ticket was $22.

my grandfather just told me that he had an impala when he was young and i didn’t know what an impala would look like but damn i wasn’t expecting this at all..

Awesome looks, sound and color. What more could you ask for? Well maybe a 68 with a 69 front clip. Detroit made the best looking cars from 67 to 70 in my opinion. We lost horse power in 71 and then in 73 they stuck the bumpers out and that finished off the looks. Its been down hill ever since the government got involved. Back then I actually went into a dealership and set down and ordered a car built with exactly the options (both mechanical and looks) I wanted instead of buying one already built and sitting on the lot. A car built just for me. Is that even still possible?

When I was a kid in the 60s+70s my Father would get a new Bel-air or Impala every couple years, I used to think they were ugly because I wanted him to get a muscle car, but now how I wish I had one or two of those cars.
