Ohh man, this car isn't going anywhere, it took me years to make it the way I wanted. 69 judge is one to have for sure, the 69 and 70 GTOs are my favorite, my parents had a white 70 when I was a kid, even brought me home from the hospital in it when I was born.
Looks and sounds great. My 70 442 is going to be hitting the streets in a few weeks just got painted a couple weeks back and it should be back together soon.
Fuck ya man! And ya I think you may have sold me about those cherry bombs.... I have true duals with Flow 40s and trumpet tips 🚀 people say mine sounds good all time but those sound incredible!!! Glad to see it rolling again
hell yeah man. just remember, they are cherry bomb vortexes, not glass packs. flowmasters are like auto tune for exhaust, the vortex let the motor do the talking!!!
Just doing life as it takes me, been out riding with friends on weekends if it ain't raining, working them 40s, just picked up a big 97 dodge truck with a 360 in it with alot of goodies on it, so I'm kinda getting the feel for it, hope ta see ya on ur next vid soon, keep on rocking it Marty🤘
You really did your thing with this car, she’s immaculate especially cosmetically, hope to see more content on it too, + now you can work on the red sport coupe 😂
I'd like to see it on one too but I doubt I'll ever get it on one, I do plan to take it to our 1/8 mile track and get some time slips though. That'll tell me what the car is actually capable of. Thank you 👍
For 500.00 you could've had a 68 hurst shifter with the fancy "442" etched in the shifter arm. Check Tampa, FL FYI I'm glad you found a fix because mine has been binding for a year now. Thanks again
i actually have one of those 442 handles but its old. yes, the guy with the video has his information in his description with his phone number. he sold me a 10, 15 and 50 thousandth thick shims. we had to add them and remove the hurst 37 thousandth. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0-ontCyI9YM.html&ab_channel=GearBoxVideo
Hell yes, looking and sounding awesome brother! Keep them videos coming. Im currently looking for a olds 350 for my other car. No one has a running engine anywhere near me.
@@UsefulEntertainment yeah , was looking for a running engine. I am possibly considering even trading my 455 for a running 350. The one with the KA heads. Its 30 over forged pistons harland sharp roller rockers elgin cam. I know im crazy.
My Old man bought a 68 Cutlass new in 68. It wasnt a 442 but it had this obscure option on the 350 engine that was called a "Ram Rod" option. He ordered it with a 3.91 rear gear and he and my uncle played with the suspension on that car so she would squat and lift the front end and go. I remember him beating SS 396 Chevelles and GTO's with that car stop light to stop light. It was quick for a 350 Olds. Car was this ugly dark green color. Engine got ruined by some kind of anti freeze that had a sealer in it that ruined peoples engines by sealing up the cooling passages so the cars ran hot. Antifreeze was recalled and they actually paid to have my fathers engine replaced but my old man just took the $$ and tried to get the motor to run right but it never did. He traded it in on a 1974 Pinto. Sad day.
Interesting story, I wonder what the antifreeze was called in particular? I'd like to look up some history on that. Yep, 391s will make for a stop light rocket ship. Interesting enough, this car started life with that same ugly, dark green and it had to go. What a sad ending, the pinto that is. Thanks for sharing.
That Ram Rod today would bring 75K or more in concourse condition. Trading for a Ford Pinto is ……… well, never mind. Let’s just say he traded a car that is a rare find to those who know what they are looking at for another car that 99.5 % of people could care less about. Enjoyed the ride along though. Nice car, keep it and enjoy it.
Check you timing at low speeds? If your advance is close to the RPM when you pull out the engine will chug because of the timing curve falling in and out of advance!
I need to add a 10 thousandths shim, I had one but we broke it by accident... If I get another one and put it in, it'll be fine but for now it does fine. It screwed up 2 times in 100 miles and I didn't have to get under the car to fix it, I just had to go back to neutral and 3rd again.
@@Hardkdrives I can get them individually. Look them up on Google, it's hard to describe. I'll probably order one in the future and throw it in. My problem is I had it in the wrong spot and messed it up, I know where it goes now.
@@UsefulEntertainment what would I be looking up? Any part number? I guess it's not too important yet if you can correct by double clutching instead of granny shifting like you should 😉😆
@@UsefulEntertainment hell yeah . I go to Mount Joy once in awhile to visit my bro & sister in law. Would like to meet you man. Been watching ya for awhile . Good work on the 442 man!
